Chapter 7

Ben and Rey would often spend many late nights talking to each other. Rey cherished those moments. She had admired Ben ever since he saved her from her life on Jakku, but she had started to see him as less of hero and more and more as her closest friend and confidant. She could no longer imagine her life without him by her side. 

For a year they hid their feelings form each other, and from themselves. 

Leia had sent Them on a a mission to a planet on the outer rim, to free it from the First Order occupation.

"There are rumors that The Knights of Ren are on that planet so keep your guard up." Leia warned them as they landed on the planet's surface.

When they landed they were greeted by a group of civilians asking for aid. 

The commander  turned around and greeted them.
"Ah. Good my reinforcements have finally arrived... oh wait. It's just you."
"Commander Dameron." Ben narrowed his eyes.
"General Solo." Rey rolled her eyes. She never understood the rivalry between Ben and Poe but already had a bad feeling about this mission. 
"Poe, what intel do you have for us?" He shook his head and lead them toward one of the nearby huts.
"It would be best if you herd it straight from my source." He opened the door and inside was a man who seemed to be wearing Poe's aviator jacket. "Meet former storm trooper: FN-2187." Rey and Ben took a seat across from him.
"FN-2187,"Ben examined the former storm trooper. "Commander Dameron said you had some intel on the First Order."
"You can just call me Finn. It'll be easier that way; it's what Poe's been calling me." Finn paused, recollecting his thoughts. "The Knights of Ren are here to gather supplies for their new super weapon. They plan to fire it on the Republic later this week. We need to-" Suddenly shots were fired outside the hut. Ben was on his feet in an instant.
"Thank you for your information, you can continue this briefing with General Organa. Poe get him to my mother." 
"What! No way! This is my operation and just because you're a Jedi doesn't mean you can boss me around!" 
"Poe!" Rey snapped. "You are one of our best pilots, and we need you to use those skills to get Finn back to base. Ben and I can handle this!" Poe gave a sigh before running to his X-wing and taking off. 
"I guess it's just you and me now." Ben chuckled. 
"You ready?" Rey smiled.
"Absolutely not."

Sorry for the long wait. I was unsure of how to introduce the rest of the cast and how dynamics and plot would have changed if Ben never became Kylo Ren.I am happy to say that I now have a better idea of how they will fit in to my story; I can't wait to explore Ben and Poe's mini-rivalry . I am also very exited for these next few chapters; so much is going to happen!!!
