Tessa:

I open my eyes Mrs. Scott is leaning over Hardin's body. I sit up. "Good morning." She says with a smile. "Did I wake you sweetie?" I stand up and hug her. "Oh Tessa." I can't help the tears again. She takes my face into her hands.

"Everything will be fine."  She assured me, I try to put on a smile for her while my mother walks into the room.

"Good morning everyone." She puts on a fake smile. I hug my mom quick and fold up my guest bed. "Did you sleep alright Tessa?"

I don't know, I truthfully couldn't sleep. My thoughts kept running about Hardin, I swear at one point I heard him, I almost climbed into bed with him. Biting my cheek to keep my tears in. "I slept fine." I lie. Steph walks in, her hair is up today her side bangs fall over her left eye.

"Tessa, how are you today?" She looks at me and knows I don't have to give her an answer. "Anyway, I'm Steph I'm a volunteer nurse I'm actually a friend of Hardin's we go to Yale together." My mother and Mrs. Scott shake her hand. My mother gives her a nasty look.

"Are you ready Tessa?" Steph says with a smile. My mother looks at me with concern. Doesn't look like my mother likes Steph, might be the tattoos and the piercing she has on her eyebrow.

"Steph and I are spending the day together to get my mind off of things." She glares at me. I walk out with Steph. "My hair isn't even done." I chuckle.

"Your fine."

"So what are the plans today?" She takes my hand.

"Everything. Food, hair, nails. You name it!" She knows how to cheer someone up. We spent the whole afternoon together

We end up at a food court, we sit at a table and eat pizza. With a mouth full of pizza Steph says.

“So when did you and Hardin meet?” She takes another bite without finishing what was already in her mouth. Hardin and I have been friends longer then I can remember. Thinking of everything we did together growing up.

Looking out my window at the age of four watching the new kid move in next door.

My mother and I went over to bring a dish of food. Neither of us really could speak in full sentences then. But a smile was all it took. We hung out every chance we got, went to school together. We had the perfect friendship.

“Uh, we actually met when we were very young I actually can’t even remember, I lie. "We have been together for so long I can’t seem to pin point a date.” She chuckles at me.

“And you haven’t fucked because?” She laughs. I give her an uncomfortable look, “Sorry I just find it strange that you haven’t everyone wants a chance in Hardin Scott’s pants.”

“Steph!” I blush, “Look, I just didn’t want to ruin our friendship, and I got jealous when I found out about Molly,” I take a bite of my pizza finally.

“Tessa, you don’t know until you try.” She smiles “When he wakes up,” She looks around. “Jump his bones, or Boner whatever you prefer,” she winks at me. I can’t help but laugh. Her words are so vulgar, I can't imagine speaking like that. My flutters thinking of Hardin, being with him. Holding his hand, cuddling. I need to get my mind off of him. I follow Steph, we walked around for a bit.
