Waiting for his surgery was taking way to long. He has been through too much I pray that all this trauma does not affect him in the long run. I hold his hand in mine pulling his fingers to my mouth kissing softly. My eyes close, I see flashes of us together... from the past and future moments, I want for us. I had my headphones in listening to 'Dynasty MIIA' and I couldn't help but see flashes, my heart starts to races when I see his face, his smile. It hurts. I feel a tap on my shoulder pulling me out of my trance.

"Tessa, I need you to go home." Trish comes up behind me. Putting her hands on my shoulder.

"What do you mean?" I take my eyes off the floor, unlatching my fingers from Hardin's.

"I think it's time you go. You have been in this hospital room for a month maybe even longer, you need to go for a walk, exercise, take a break, honey. I'll call you if there are any changes." I stand to my feet. I don't want to leave his side... But she's right. I move slowly to the door and stop to turn around. "GO." She says with a straight face.

"Okay, just keep me updated please." She takes my hand, then pulls me into a hug. Her embrace makes me feel so warm.

"I will text you when they take him in for surgery, I love you, sweetheart, please take care of yourself. Hardin wouldn't want you to sit here and wallow." I giggle.

I decided to walk home... It was an awfully long walk but so worth space and relaxing feeling I felt.

"Tessa, come on you are so slow." Hardin was running now. He turned around to run toward me.

"Hardin?" I say in a fearful voice watching him run made me fear for my life as he jumps onto me and knocking me to the ground. We took walks together every weekend. We were teens in our freshman year in high school.

"Oh, next weekend I won't be around," Hardin mentions as he's lay on top of me.

"What do you mean?" I try to sit up. "We hang out every weekend I can't go without our walk."

"I'm meeting up with Zed. He has these tickets I can't pass them up." He knows how I feel about Zed. He's cute and all but I know he is bad news.

"Okay, I'll ask Landon to go on a walk with me." He gives me a glare. "What's wrong with Landon? He is one of my friends to Hardin. Why do you hate him so much?"

"I don't." He lies. "I'll reschedule with Zed."

"No, don't it's fine I'm not your only friend I have to share and so do you." He rolls his eyes fine.

Next weekend. Hardin:

"Zed, why did you want to see me? You made it sound urgent I had to lie to Tess." Zed tells me to get into his car.

"Tell me about Tessa." He smiles at me. He's joking, right? "No seriously man tell me about her. I want to get to know her."

"Then talk to her man, she isn't going to bite." Did I seriously say that? Him wanting to get close to her is not going to end well.

"I need an inside man you two are so close who better to go to then you?" I roll my eyes.

"I'm not doing that for you." After a while he drops me off home, watching him drive off makes me fear what is to come next.

Tessa:

"Hey, Tessa." Zed runs up behind me.

"Hey, I thought you were hanging with Hardin?" Landon stands close to me.

"Yeah, that didn't last long. Listen let's go on a date." I pause for a moment and ponder on his question.

"Why?" Really that's the best you can come up with. Landon's eyes are on me.
