"Minnie please stand up," Jungkook whispered in shock, rising from his seat immediatly when he realised Jim was really gone.
"Jungkook what are we supposed to d-"
"Shut up!" Jungkook yelled right through Namjoon's words. "Shut. Up!"
The atmosphere in the room had shifted to something cold and unpleasent and Jungkook felt completely disoriented.
How did this happen? Why did he allow Jim to go to the kitchen on his own? Should he have been by his side? Even just for that?
Minnie stood up just like Jungkook had told him to.
"Why... why are you here?" Jungkook asked, trying his very best to act reasonable.
Minnie neared right away as if he had been summoned by the student, "to do whatever you want me to do."
Jungkook held out his hands so Minnie couldn't come closer. "But why?" He asked, blocking Minnie's advances before they could start. "Why now?"
"Kook? Maybe you should bring him home?" Taehyung said, the look of complete disappointment on Jungkook's face making him want to shrink into himself.
Jungkook's eyes fluttered as he stared at Minnie, still waiting for an answer that he hoped would make sense.
"To protect Jimin ofcourse, everything I do is to protect him, if he needs to do things he doesn't want to do I'll do it for him."
Minnie smiled with that desperate look in his eyes that made Jungkook's skin crawl. He neared Jungkook once more, hoping to be accepted in, but the man pushed him away again.
"What kind of things?!" He snapped, shoving the filter away so hard he nearly fell to the floor.
"Jungkook!" Tae said sharply, rising from his seat to help control the situation. "Calm down a little okay? You know this is still Jimin right? Remember?"
Tae looked at Namjoon. "Help out a little here!"
"Oh I can drive him home if you want?" Namjoon proposed, not seeming the slightest bit shocked by anything that was happening.
He carried this smug smirk on his face that told Jungkook he already knew this would happen, and it made the student furious that he'd been proven right.
Jungkook looked at Minnie again, who's expression never changed into a sad one. "Anything my love, I'll do anything for anyone..."
On the last two words Minnie's eyes drifted over to Namjoon and Taehyung, and Jungkook felt himself starting to tremble with anger. "Don't say that!" He yelled, pushing the filter back again to make him stop looking at his friends that way.
Minnie fell to the ground quite harshly, but didn't show the slightest discomfort.
Taehyung walked to Jungkook as quickly as he could and held the student back.
"Jungkook stop! Don't treat him like this, I know it hurts like hell but remember why he is this way."
Jungkook was seething, but not all of his anger was fixed on Minnie. Actually, most of it wasn't.
It was fixed on himself, on Namjoon, on this entire fucking world that allowed someone so amazing to suffer trauma this intense.
Jungkook couldn't control his emotions, and it was just so easy to out them on Minnie. The filter didn't complain, didn't get angry, didn't cry, didn't fight back. Why was he created? Why did Jimin need someone like this to protect him?
"Namjoon, drive him home please," Taehyung eventually said as he slowly rubbed Jungkook's back to calm the student down.
Namjoon nodded and peacefully did as told. "Come on Jimin let's go," he said, placing a hand on the man's exposed shoulder to guide him along.
