Jungkook opened his eyes against the harsh sunlight shining into his room.
"Wow, I'm still here," Jim mumbled groggily.
Jungkook looked to his side and saw that Jim had woken up at the exact same time as him.
"Morning," the student chimed, flashing the filter a smile almost as bright as the morning sun itself. "It seems like you slept well, did you wake up more during the night?"
"Nope," Jim answered, stretching his limbs before pulling Jungkook closer towards him. "Those pills really help after a while."
Jungkook hummed and inhaled Jim's scent deeply, always finding it to calm him down like not much else did.
"Babe," he said softly, closing his eyes as he cuddled up closer to his boyfriend. "Last night you... you said some things that scared me... and I know they weren't true but I just need you to tell me they're not."
Jim perked up and looked at Jungkook with a frown. "What did I say?"
Jungkook pursed his lips for a moment, the words laying heavy on his tounge. "You said you wanted to die. That you couldn't handle-"
"Babe I-I... I don't...I didn't-"
"You didn't mean it right? Tell me Jim," Jungkook said as he moved away from the filter's chest, looking the man in the eyes as if he was gazing into his soul.
But Jim averted Jungkook and didn't answer immediatly. "I might've wanted to at that moment..." he said quietly.
Jungkook shook his head and pulled Jim's chin to make the man look at him. "But you don't want that now right?" He asked, though he realised he might be coming off a bit sternly.
Jim melted and leaned forward to hurriedly peck Jungkook's lips. "No," he said. "They are just moments of weakness. I promise I'll try not to be weak too often. It's not what I'm here for."
Jungkook wanted to oppose right away. He wanted to cup Jim's cheek and tell him that emotions weren't all bad. Had he not succeeded in showing the man that yet? Jungkook thought back to the steps of full intergration he'd found online.
It was important for all the filters to accept all parts of themselves. Jungkook knew that task was hard, but he believed it could be done. With enough love, stability and support it could be done... right?
Jim left the bed and Jungkook felt cold.
"I'll prepare some breakfast. Scrambled eggs?"
Jungkook watched Jim throw on a shirt and turned his sad expression into a half-smile when the man looked to him again. "Scrambled eggs," he confirmed, crinkeling his eyes as Jim gave him a nod.

"Hey you know what's funny?" Jim asked as he cracked two eggs and dropped them into a fryingpan.
Jungkook took a seat at the dinnertable and hummed. "Not yet," he yawned as he forced himself to fully awaken.
It had become somewhat of a new habit of Jim to tell Jungkook things he'd come to realise either by voices in his head or all on his own. They were random thoughts Jungkook would never have come to think of and the student found the filter adorable for sharing them.
"People call life short right?" Jim said as he laid two slices of toast on a plate. "But it's literally the longest thing we'll ever get to experience."
Jungkook needed a moment before he huffed in amuzement. "Yup you're right. Who told you that? Min?"
Jim shook his head as he shoved the scrambled eggs onto the plate. "Nope. Me."
