Eva's POV
"Are you ready to head out Eva?" Cas asks as I place my cape around my shoulders.
"Mhmm. God, it's nice to finally stretch my legs. I've been stuck indoors for days," I reply.
"We should go meet up with Ammie and Apollo then."
"Yeah, we should."
"You okay...?""I told you already that I feel like I'm intruding."
"It'll be fine Eva."
"I hope so."We find the two other Carmen siblings in the dining area scoffing down a bowl of porridge each. When Ammie notices us, she excitedly throws herself at Cas before doing the same to me. She becomes infatuated by my cape, hiding under it whilst Cas and I eat.
"Is she still hiding?" Cas asks as I finish my food. In response, I go to lift my cape up only for it to be pulled back down. I think I hear Ammie whisper, "No, I'm hiding!" as she does it.
"Come on Ammie, we've got to go," Cas smiles. "Wait a sec, do they know I'm coming?" He then turns to Apollo.
"Well I told mum and dad that I found Ammie. And that I have a surprise for them. I just want to see their reaction when you get to see them," Apollo replies.
"Knowing them," Ammie begins, now coming to sit next to me, "they'll probably cry."
"Yeah, they always got upset when I mentioned you. Anyway, are you ready to head out?""Mhmm, let's go!"
"Wait a second you lot." Flynn suddenly appears behind me, grabbing my arm before I walk off.
"You're not coming with us Flynn," I spit.
"How rude, I can't believe you Eva. But anyway, that's not what I'm here for, Lucky wants to tag along. Said she had to get something in the nearby area, she'll meet you outside."
"Alright weirdo," I reply, pushing him away. For once, Flynn isn't lying to me, and Lucky does actually wait by the entrance of the building.
"Oh, hey Lucky," Apollo waves. "So you're coming with us to get some stuff huh?"
"Yeah, for potions and stuff. Let's go."As Cas talks to his siblings, I linger behind slightly, and end up talking to Lucky.
"So, are you at all interested in making potions Eva?" She asks.
"I have a few books at home about them, but I'm not the best at actually making them. I made an invisibility potion once when playing hide and seek with Cas, but it only made the bottom half of my body invisible, so I clearly messed something up," I laugh slightly.
"Well, if you want to learn about them, I'd be willing to teach you. Only if you want me to though."
"That sounds awesome actually!"
"Really? You could come with me to get some of the ingredients, oh wait... never mind...""Yeah, I know. I wish I could come along, I don't think I should be here when Cas meets his parents," I sigh. "I can just stand outside or whatever, but even then, it doesn't feel right."
Soon, we arrive at a train station, the train already at the platform so we're forced to rush on. Unlike usual, I can't bring myself to sit next to Cas, not when he has family to talk to, so instead Lucky and I sit on a separate pair of chairs.
"So you said you messed up an invisibility potion before, right? Only your legs were invisible. Maybe you missed one of the ingredients," Lucky says, skimming through the pages of a potions book. She stops on a page about invisibility potions and I skim through to try and figure out what exactly I messed up on.
"Oh, okay..." I mutter. "Here, it says to heat up the potion whilst mixing the ingredients in... I don't think I heated it up.""What are you two talking about?" Ammie asks, poking her head over the chairs.
"Oh, Ammie, we're discussing potions," I reply.
"That sounds cool, you shout sit with us, I wanna learn about potions!""W-well, I'm not so good at them. Lucky's the one who's good at making potions."
"But if Lucky comes to sit with us, then you'll be alone. Come on Eva! You can sit next to Cas."
