My head shot up to the nauseating feeling in my stomach.
I reached over the side of the bed and grabbed the trash can I had sat there because I knew this was going to happen.
I sat up, and retched into the trash can.
My head began to pound, and the room felt like it dropped a thousand degrees, causing my body to jerk with cold chills.
Tears streamed down my cheeks.
I felt Beastboy's hand rub my back slowly.
When I finally caught my breath, I grabbed the bottle of mouthwash Beastboy had gotten me and I swished it in my mouth, spitting it back in the trash can.
I laid down, and my head felt like someone had taken a hammer to it.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
I could tell he was tired, he woke up every time I did to comfort me.
"No." I joked.
He looked at me sadly.
"I'm sorry Rae." He said, kissing my head.
I took my head and rested it on his bare chest, taking in all the heat I could.
My body jerked with a cold chill.
"What was that?" He asked in concern, slightly rubbing my back.
"Cold chill." I breathed out as his back rub almost put me to sleep.
"You're burning up. How was that a cold chill?"
I shrugged my shoulders and nuzzled closer to him, desperate to feel the heat from his body.
"Do you want me to get you anything?" He asked.
I shook my head no, because I didn't want anything to eat or drink.
I would just throw it back up.
I could hear my heartbeat through my ears and it was driving me crazy.
"So... you used mouthwash. Can I kiss you now?" He asked in a joking manner.
I lifted my head, feeling my head pound more.
I know I looked like a mess, I can tell because of how I was feeling.
He smiled, and put his hand on my cheek.
"I missed you so much." He told me, resting his forehead on mine.
"I missed you too." I whispered as I kissed his cheek.
"Did he..." he started to say, but I already knew what he was going to ask.
I shook my head no again.
He took my hand in his.
"Why did you leave?" He asked.
It wasn't something I really wanted to explain.
It's something that I thought I wouldn't have to explain.
I thought they all were convinced I was taken.
"How did you know I left?"
"If he came in the tower, we would have heard something. Especially me. But I didn't." He stated, which made sense.
I sighed, squeezing his hand tighter.
"When he told me threats about you, I knew he was serious. I couldn't let that happen. After seeing you in so much pain, I couldn't. I would never forgive myself. So, I went with him." I sighed, shaking from another cold chill.
"Raven that's so dangerous." He hissed.
"Why would you do that?" He whispered, still slightly scolding me.
"You were worth the risk." I told him, meaning it with every piece of my heart.
He smiled.
Now, it was my turn to question him.
"Why did you go after me with a broken leg and everything? You could have been hurt badly Beastboy. You're supposed to stay here." I scolded him back.
My eyes never left his, and he smiled again.
"You were worth the risk Rae." He told me, in an ever so soft voice.
The fire lit up in my stomach again, and my eyes teared up.
He leaned down and kissed me.
I missed this.
I missed his lips.
I missed his taste and touch.
He cupped my cheek as our kiss lasted long.
It was heartfelt.
It made my stomach burn.
It made the pounding in my head turn to silence.
It made me feel like all the bad in the world disappeared into thin air.
He pulled away and I ruffled his hair, causing a big smile to appear on his face, making his fang pop out.
"I love you." I whispered, kissing him shortly. I pulled away with a smile.
He took his arms and pulled me as tightly to him as possible.
"I love you Rae. More than you will ever know." He whispered to me.
He had a healing power more strong than the one I had.
He made me whole.
He glued all my broken pieces together.
He made me into the person I thought I could never be.
He made me truly happy.
He put new labels on me that I thought were only myths.
Only things that you hear about in fairytales.
But... I'm living it.
I'm living in a fairytale that I don't deserve to be a part of.
I don't deserve his love.
I don't deserve his hugs.
I don't deserve his kind words.
I don't deserve his kiss.
He deserves more than what I could ever give him.
After everything he had went through from his childhood being robbed from him to now, he deserves way better than me.
But why did he choose me?
I don't know.
I can't find an answer to that question.
It shall never be solved.
