First Meeting

Dr. Kongpob Suthiluck is a fellow and a surgeon under the Cardiothoracic Department. At the age of 28, Kong's life has been revolving around the surgery room, emergency room and his room. After graduating from Harvard Medical School with his best friends, they returned to Thailand to take special courses in Bangkok University and applied in Bangkok University Hospital. In the hospital, Kong knows that there is double the pressure for him as his father is the hospital director.

He doesn't really have a social life since he is already meeting his best friends in the hospital. His best friends are Aim Hathaiprasert who is an Obstetrician-gynaecologist that specializes in Male Pregnancy and Tew Khunatipapisiri who is under the Department of Internal Medicine. Aim has been his best friend since he was a child while Tew is a Thai-friend they met in Harvard.

Both of his friends are dating that he sometimes feels out of place when they start talking about date nights. Tew started dating a guy named Knot that Kong also approved when he saw his sincerity and then Tew introduced Aim to Bright, Knot's best friend and the rest is history.

"Dr. Suthiluck, I have fixed the charts that you have assigned to me." Kong was approached by one of their residents. He just nodded and smiled. His father is known to be Dr. Krekkai in the hospital so he get to be addressed as Dr. Suthiluck.

"I got it Love, I'll check on them later." Kong replied. He likes the interns and residents under their department, they're very hard working that it reminds him of himself when he was their age.

"You may take your break now then I'll bring you to do my rounds." Kong instructed and the resident then excused herself.

Kong sat on his chair inside his shared office with another fellow in their department. He started to scan through his books since he's a quite free before doing his rounds. He is preparing for the interview and the exam for a new lecturer spot in the Faculty of Medicine in BU. He has always wanted to be a lecturer and he doesn't want to miss this chance. One strong candidate is Dr. Yacht Ayuta and he knows that the doctor is quite capable as well but he's much better... he thinks?

Right after doing his rounds, Kong is surprised to receive a call from his father.

"Hello dad?" his father is probably in his office or doing some research since he is a doctor in Internal Medicine. Tew looks up to his father so much that is why he chose the specialization.

"Kong, your mom says she misses you." Krekkai said with a chuckle.

"I had several lined up surgeries so I wasn't able to visit." Kong replied. He lives in an apartment unit near the hospital. His father insisted that he comes home and they can head to work together but he refused since he knows that his family will again control his life. Not that he has no choice but he grew up like that, following everything they say. Growing up as the youngest, he hasn't learned to say no to his parents. At least he was able to choose his own specialty this time.

He feels like he's got a huge responsibility to fulfil since Rome, his elder brother seemed to experience bumpy road by getting pregnant right after college graduation and getting married two years later when their family has a lot of plans for him. Now he has 8 years old twins and is expecting again. His eldest brother Mike is a doctor too but Mike chose to live a quiet life in Chiang Mai together with his wife, Sarah. They have been married for 5 years but Sarah has not conceived yet. They had her check and everything is normal so they just leave it be, hoping that someday, if it's really for them then they'll be gifted with a child.

"Mom's cooking dinner tonight so come home, okay?" Kong knows that his mom is busy with Sunshine so she usually leaves the cooking to their kitchen in-charge. Knowing that his mother is cooking is a little bit suspicious to him.
