i always thought there was romantic
about fighting for someone
about winning them back,
unconditional happiness.
but as i sit here with a weight in my chest
i have come to realize that
there is nothing beautiful about having to
continuously convince someone to love you
i wanted to tell you not to leave
but I couldn't.
not again.
