6: alas, we meet again

"We're winning!" Sugawara says to you but you felt uneasy.

You still haven't seen Oikawa and his monster serves. You know how drastic the flow of the game would change if Oikawa was there. Suddenly you heard screams erupting from the bleachers which was all too familiar to you. You heard footsteps from the other side of the court. You closed your eyes and refused to look at him.

"Whaaa? F/n is here? Are you sure Iwa-chan? Are you really really sure?" you faintly heard his voice from afar. Kageyama looked at you and you looked back. He gave you a nod for comfort.

"Tobio-chan! It's been a long time." You heard his voice again but this time, louder.

"F/n, how have you been?" He says as he stands behind you. You take a deep sigh as you look at him.

"Oikawa-san. It's good to see you again," You say as you walk back to the bench and sit beside Kiyoko. Oikawa looks at you in disbelief but he heard his coach call him and he exits the court to warm up.

"Is that her?"

"Who's her?"

"Oikawa-senpai's ex girlfriend,"

"Ahh slutty-chan!"

"Yeah she really is the worst!"

"I'm glad Oikawa broke up with her!"

"Tsk," you say under your breath as you grip under the bench you are sitting on. You were so close to just standing up, lifting the bench and throwing it at them. They don't know the story. You love Oikawa. Or at least, loved. You get distracted from your thoughts by hearing the 'ohhhhhhhhhh' sound whenever a Seijoh player is about to serve. You look back and see Oikawa.

"We're in trouble," You say to Kiyoko who has been staring at you. You stare at Oikawa as he threw the ball up. He ran and hit the ball. You gulp as you see how strong he hit it. His ball control is on another level. You never thought it was possible for his serves to improve and yet here he was. It hit Tsukishima, one of your weakest receivers. You ran to Sugawara's side.

"Sugawara-san, we have got to find a way to handle his serves. He's much more stronger than before."

"That's true. He's really targeting Tsukishima. But I hope you don't mind me asking but do you know Oikawa-san?"

"Yes. We dated before," You say and before he could react you scream at Tsukishima.

"You can do it, Tsukishima!" You say as Oikawa and Iwaizumi's gaze followed your every move.

"Oy! Don't get distracted and mess up." Iwaizumi says to Oikawa.

"Of course not, Iwa-chan. When did I ever mess up?" He says as he walked back to his serving position.

"Whenever f/n is there." He says as he turns back to face his opponents. Iwaizumi puts his hands around his head, afraid that he might get hit.

"Tsk," Oikawa sighs under his breath as he puts the ball near his forehead. Iwaizumi was right. He throws the ball up in the air, swings his arms to his back, jumps in the air and hits the ball with all his might. The ball comes straight to Tsukishima again but this time he received it.

"Nice receive Tsukishima!!!!" You scream.

"Ah, sorry Iwa-chan. I guess I did get distracted." Oikawa says to him.

Soon you heard the referee blow the whistle as Karasuno wins the game. You rushed to exit the gym with the team as you all make your way to van but Oikawa knows all the exits and goes through the shortcut.

"We might have won this practice match but our defense and receives are still very weak," Daichi says.

"Spoken like a true Captain," You suddenly heard a voice you know all too well.

"It's the Great King!" Hinata says as you tilt your head in confusion with the nickname.

"We will easily receive your serves next time!" Tanaka says.

"Hmm maybe. But receives don't improve over night. Just ask your Captain," He says.

"Let's just go." Daichi says as they all walk past him, including you.

"Just a moment though, I would like to talk to your assistant manager," He says. Tanaka and Hinata suddenly rush in front of you.

"You won't touch her!" They say as Kageyama also rushes to your side.

"You'll have to get through us first!" Kageyama says as Oikawa just smirks.

"Guys, it's alright. Just go. I'll be with you all in a bit." You say.

"See! Nothing to overreact about," He says coyly.

They all make their way to the bus as you look at Oikawa. His face suddenly softens.

"F/n."
