18: everything will be fine

You still haven't seen Kageyama and Hinata the entire day. They would usually suddenly go to your classroom just to say hi or suddenly tease you or tell them about their day. But today, the two were nowhere in sight. You suddenly grew worried.

"Practice is cancelled today. Rest up." You unlocked your phone to see a message from Coach Ukai in the groupchat which has been sent first thing in the morning. You reread it to convince yourself that there is no practice so there is no need for you to go to gym. But why do you feel like there something pulling you that way?

You were on your way home and you were almost out of the gates of the school when you just suddenly felt the urge to go to the gym. You sigh as you felt like you had no choice. You could just check to give you a peace of mind.

The closer you got the gym, the more scared you were. You were scared that the 3rd years were going to retire. You were scared that everyone would be discouraged. You were scared that things won't go back to the way they used to be. But you got snapped out of your trance when you heard a ball hit the ground.

You run to the gym to see all of them in there training. You smiled and your heart felt warm seeing them there. You also saw Coach Ukai who gave you a thumbs up as you entered the gym.

Suddenly, you saw all the boys gather in front of you. They all bow in unison and said, "Please keep on coaching us!" They say as you jump in excitement. You gave each of them hugs, some savoring them more than others but you were glad to see them like this. You were glad to see them finally smiling.

You continued to train with them and you continued to guide them. Your heart suddenly felt easy and you couldn't help but feel warm.

"Everyone gather up!" Coach Ukai says as Takeda-sensei enters the gym.

"There will be training camp to be held in Shinzen Academy! We will be training with top teams from Tokyo such as Fukurōdani, Nekoma, Ubugawa and Shinzen. And fortunately, Coach Nekomata has invited us to join them." He finishes as everyone cheers but then Takeda-sensei's phone rang. He stepped outside to take the call and quickly went back inside in panic.

"There has been a change in teams. Aoba Johsai has decided to join the training camp."

"Ah, fuck."

"And also, there are grades you have to maintain to be able to join."

"Ah, fuck."

a/n:
I feel like if reader actually is canon, Oikawa would probably do his everything for them to join that training camp as soon as he hears that Karasuno will be joining. So yes bc of you, there will be some changes in events ;) And since the coach seems to listen to Oikawa's demands and Seijoh is a powerhouse, they would probs get accepted into any training camp if they tried so yes. Wanted to add Shiratorizawa too for more fun but going back to season 2, they wouldn't even have practice matches with high school teams and did it with college teams. So what's the point of them going to the training camp... So yes but still yay enjoy mwa
