30: kiss where it hurts

ok hi so many people messaged me about the last chapter HAHAHAHA IM SORRY I JUST HAD TO ADD A LITTLE BIT OF ANGST AT LEAST AND BC OF THAT I HAD TO QUICKLY WRITE THIS AHAHAHAHAHA TO GIVE YALL A PEACE OF MIND

You slowly started to open your eyes as you felt someone holding your hand. You see it to be Kageyama. You softly comb his hair and he quickly woke up.

"Are you okay?!" He says in a panicked way. You smile at him as tears started forming in your eyes.

"I'm sorry." You say to him as shifts closer to you.

"What the hell are you sorry about?" He asks, giving you a kiss on your hand.

"I feel like I'm such a burden right now." You say in between sobs. Your heart felt so heavy and you know you broke his heart by what you've done.

"Oh God. Don't say that. You're not a burden and you never will be." He says as he kisses your forehead.

"Listen to me. Now that I'm here I want you to know that you aren't alone. You can cry in front of me but I won't let you cry alone. If you cry, I cry too." He says as he gives your wrist, where there are bandages wrapped around it, a kiss.

"You never ever have to suffer alone again." He says as you cry more and open your arms for you two to hug.

"I truly do love you." You say to his ear and plant a kiss on his cheek. He whispers it back to you, as you felt his hot tears fall on you. He sits down and wipes his tears away.

"Where does it hurt?" He asks you as you pointed to your chest, where your heart is. He stood up and kisses it.

"I'll kiss where it hurts." He says. Suddenly, you heard voices as Kageyama goes back to his seat.

"Oh my God! L/n-san! You're awake! I told you he'll be fine Kageyama." Sugawara says as he rushes to your side. You soon see some other boys enter the room too and your eyes laid upon your former lover, Oikawa who was just standing there quietly.

As soon as Kageyama saw this, he told the others to go out first to give you two some time to speak to each other. Before Kageyama could go out, Oikawa grabs his arm.

"Thank you." He says as he goes to you.

"I heard what you did. Thank you." You say as you smile at him and he smiles back to you, weakly.

"I'll stop." He says, trying to avoid your gaze.

"I'll stop chasing after you. You are happy with Tobio-chan and that's all I want for you. Happiness." He says as he couldn't control his tears anymore.

"You have been the best thing that has ever happened to me and I still stand by that. I regret what I have done to you everyday and there are no excuses for it. That girl who's my soulmate? She doesn't feel like my soulmate at all. She has this weird image of me that isn't even me at all. I'm starting to doubt the concept of soulmates but seeing you and Kageyama and then seeing your captain and that setter, proves that it's real but just not for everyone. You have been the only person who has loved me for me and I'm grateful for that. It gives me hope that one day someone out there can love me too." He says. You grab his hand and hold it for a while.

"You don't how much I'm thankful for you. For everything. You have made me feel like this isn't the end of my story. We have hurt each other in many ways but you will always be in my heart. My lovely, Tooru. I know you'll find love someday. I'm sure of it because you have so much love to give. But you must also learn to love and accept yourself, first." You say as you both started bursting out, crying. You both hug each other and he whispers 'I'll always love you f/n.'

On the next day, you felt better. You woke up with sun shining on your face and you woke up to see Kageyama's smile meeting yours. You woke up to see the other players asking how you were. The doctor told you you could go and watch the games but he advised you not to play yet or to participate in any strenuous activities. You were about to stand up when you felt someone's arms support your back. You look to see the bedhead, smirking down at you. He started assisting you as you walk out the clinic.

"Congrats on your soulmate by the way." He says.

"Did you cry?" You ask in a teasing manner making him snort.

"Actually, I've always known who my soulmate was. Everyday, I see that person and I know we are soulmates." He says as you look up at him in awe.

"Really?! Is it Kenma?!" You ask as he made a face you would never forget.

"Huh?! I meant myself! Whenever I look at the mirror, it all makes sense that I am my own soulmate." He says as you both just stare at each other and soon find each other laughing.

"Oy. I'm still here for you, alright? I'm a little bit mad that you never told me how you felt about anything but I can understand why. I'm that type of friend whose role is to make you smile. That's why I was so shocked about what happened yesterday. I've never even seen that side of you before. But just know that I am also the type of friend who will always listen to you. I might be in Tokyo but my heart will be with you always." He says as you gape at him.

"W-what's with the seriousness?" You ask, touched as tears started forming in your eyes.

"Oh no no no I don't want you to cry when I'm around!" He says as he used his thumbs to make your lips into a happy face. Soon, you have arrived at the gym.

Karasuno and Aoba Johsai were playing a match. Despite Kageyama and Oikawa coming onto terms when it came to you, they were still not over their rivalry as setters. You smiled at how you didn't affect their relationship. You go beside Coach Ukai who talked to you a little bit but didn't pester you with too much questions. Once you team saw you, they threw you smiles and even hugs but they weren't out of pity. They were out of love and care for you.

The ball was about to hit the ground as Asahi's spike was blocked, but Kageyama suddenly dove to get the ball. But instead of seeing that he got the ball to the other side, you saw him screaming and wincing in pain. The boys suddenly came to him, even Oikawa as you followed. You look to see that there was a nail coming out on the court and that was what Kageyama hit when he dove. You kneel down beside him.

"Tobio! Let's go to the clinic." You say as you try to help him up, with the help of some of the other players.

"F/n! You're not even supposed to be out and about yet!" He says, screaming at you but you didn't care about what he was saying. You were able to bring him to the clinic as the nurse stood up to patch him up.

"Gosh what is up with you two?" She says as she has been seeing your faces often during the training camp. You watched as the nurse cleaned his wound whilst he tightly held onto your hand. As soon as she was done bandaging him up, she left the two of you.

Kageyama watched as you kneeled in front of him. He tilted his head in confusion by your actions.

"You said I would look good on my knees, right?" You say seductively, stroking his leg softly as he gulped and then you suddenly laughed.

"I'm kidding! Stop looking so serious!" You say as you give his knee, where the bandages were, a kiss.

"Kiss where it hurts, right?" You say as you smile back at him and he does too.
