When there is a silver of Hope

Prologue

Lee Eun Ah wanted to hide in her parent's arms where she had always felt safe. She wanted to smell the comforting perfume of her mother and feel the gentle touch of her father's hand on her head. But everything seemed like a far away dream as she watched her home – the Royal Palace burning right in front of her eyes. She still remembered the horrific images of her parent's corpses, the alarmed eyes of her older sister Lee Min Ah as she dragged Lee Eun Ah to safety. All Lee Eun Ah could do was listen to her sister's words and obey the promise of not coming out of her hiding place while her sister went in search of their brother. She wished she had stayed with her together with her sister.

Lee Eun Ah clutched the wooden stick in her hand with tight grip, her knuckles turning white at her effort. As Eun Ah ran away from the palace the only place she has called home, she swore that she would save her family from this terrible fate. She swore upon her family that she would find retribution for them as she knew the answer to their salvation was in her hands at the moment.

2 years later

"Are you sure about this Eun Ah-ya?" a dark haired, 18-year old teenager asked his companion concern clearly visible on his handsome face.

"Wook-ah this is the only way, I have already waited 2 years for this. This can save my parents, my sister, my brother and your family too. The whole kingdom depends on this" Lee Eun Ah told her unbreakable sword Jo Wook.

Even though she was no longer considered as a member of the royal family since everyone thought she had died with her family on that fateful night, Wook still considered her as a princess and acted as her unbreakable sword even though they were of the same age. 

Lee Eun Ah regarded her partner feeling nervous herself despite her confidence exterior, she was alive only because of him, her Wook-ah. He did everything to protect her from the traitors these past two years, took care of her when all she wanted was to give up, provided his shoulder when she wanted to cry, supplied her corny jokes to make her laugh, stayed awake with her whenever she was plagued with nightmares and her partner in the life-changing mission they are going to take part in.

Eun ah knew she loved him but theirs was a situation where love was a luxury and survival was a necessity. With a last look at their birth kingdom the duo passed through the obelisks entering the world the late queen came from, Eun Ah's Mother Jeong Tae Eul.
