Momentary Bliss

The next day, out of nowhere I got a flu. But that didn't stop me from working though. Nagsuot nalang ako ng mask to avoid affecting others. It was hard working lalo na at may sakit ako. I had my medicine before I left our condo. Leah kept on telling me to rest instead of work, but I disagreed.

"May sakit ka, Vivianne?" Asked Riley pagkakita na nakamask ako.
"Ah, flu lang toh." I said.
"Hindi ka na dapat pumasok, you should stay home." Riley said worried.
"No, I'm fine." I said.
"Did you take you medicine?" He asked.
I nodded as a response.
Riley is a person who I could say is very caring. He checks up on you if you feel good or not. I consider him as a close friend. Well, I consider everybody here at the office a close friend of mine. I kept on thinking that the person who Riley will like is lucky. Too bad I don't know who. We talked about it last time. He said that the person he likes is not in our office. I hope to meet that girl soon though.

Because of what I'm feeling, Leah has been checking up on me every 5 minutes to ask if I'm okay or if I need anything. She's caring too, Eli is lucky to have her.

Its lunch time already, since konti lang naman gawain ko, I decided to get lunch with my officemates. This is the first time I'll be joining them for lunch. All of them are really fun to be with. I should've done this a long time ago.

While eating lunch, I was very dizzy especially when I stand up. I didn't bother to tell anybody what I'm feeling though.

After an hour we went back to the office and my head hurts so much! I drank my medicine but I don't know why it still hurts. I drank lots and lots of water to atleast try to lessen the pain but nothing changed.

I tried to walk back to my table as slow as I can. I saw Tristan waving at me, I smiled back. I was suppose to greet him good afternoon but my vision turned black.

Nagising ako and I was in a room and saw a nurse. Nagloading pa ako pero narealize ko na nasa ospital ako. Agad akong bumangon at nakita ko si Tristan na nakaupo sa tabi ko.

"Why am I here?" Agad ko na tanong.
"You fainted at the office, Vivianne." Tristan said.
"I feel fine now, let's go back to the company now." I said at tatayo na dapat pero pinigilan ako ni Tristan.
"No, you should stay here for a while. I don't want this to happen to you again." He said.
"This won't happen again, I promise." I told him and smiled to give him assurance.
"Please, Viv. Stay here for a while." Tristan said tapos hinawakan niya ang braso ko.
I nodded and just sat at the bed instead.

A doctor went inside the room at agarang lumapit si Tristan sa doctor.
They talked for a short while. Tumingin si Tristan saakin and he breathed heavily.

"Ano daw?" I asked.
"It was just a normal migraine. Thank God it was just that." He said so relieved.
"Why do sound so relieved though?" I said and chuckled.
"I was worried for Pete's sake." He said.
"Thank you." I said and smiled.
"No need for that." He said and smiled.

His smile is really making me fall harder.

I asked him what time I could go home, he said I could go home anytime. Kaya naisipan ko na umuwi na agad. Tristan drove me home and he insisted na samahan muna ako sa condo while Leah is not here yet.

"You still have work, right?" I asked.
"Mhm... but that could wait, I can do that later or tomorrow anyways." He said while staring at me.
I can't stare back kaya nagpaalam ako na magbibihis nalang muna ako. I opened my phone to see what time it is. It was quarter to 4, it's still early huh.

After switching clothes, I tried to see what food I could make for him. Nakakahiya naman to see him sit while not doing anything. I don't even know if he had his lunch yet. I could say that he was really worried sick about me.

I saw some ingredients that are appropriate for me to make some spaghetti. While I was making some spaghetti, I couldn't stop myself to look at him. He's wearing clothes that really compliments his body. His hair is messy but it suits him very well. He's literally a boyfriend material. Hindi ko na naiwasan ang pag-init ng pisngi dahil sa mga pinag-iisip.

The spaghetti was cooked just the way I like it, hopefully magustuhan niya since a single thank you is not enough for what he did just to help me.

"Tan, I made spaghetti. Hopefully, you'll like it." I said and put spaghetti on his plate.
"Hindi ka na dapat nag-abala. I'm good knowing that you're fine. Pero, thanks for this!" He said then started eating.
"Ito nalang nga magiging way ng pagthank you ko sayo eh." I said and smiled.
"You shouldn't bother doing anything in return when someone helps you especially when that someone is me. Your heath and happiness matters the most to me, Vivianne." He said.
I smiled. He's sweet, really sweet.

Hours passed and Leah arrived. She was, I guess shocked to see Tristan with me. She smirked and I already know whats in her mind.
"How are you feeling?" Leah said without letting her smile fade away.
"I'm good, Tristan was there to take care of me anyway." I said.
"I can see that." She said and gave a meaningful smirk.
"Stop smirking! I made spaghetti, eat some. It's at the table." I said and pointed at the table.

She nodded and went towards the table to eat.

"Uhm, Tan, you can go now. Leah is here so you won't have to bother taking care of me." I said and smiled.
"You sure?" He said na naga-aalinlangan pa.
"Oo naman. Don't worry about me anymore." I said and smiled to give him assurance.
"Call me when you need anything, okay? I'll text you when I get home." He said and gave me a quick hug. He whispered, "If you need me, I'll always be here for you. I don't want you going through so many stuff that makes you stress. I was worried sick because of you Vivianne Scarlet. So don't ever do things that makes me worry next time."
I was dumbfounded to even react. The next thing I know, Tristan already left.

Nagpaalam ako kay Leah na hihiga na ako even though its still early. She nodded and smiled as a response.

I can't believe it! Tristan just said that! Ayaw ko naman umasa pero why is he giving me hints that he likes me. Kinikilig ako but I have so many what ifs in my mind right now!

After a few minutes, my phone vibrated.
It was Tristan, he texted me,

Tristan:
I'm got home safely. I hope you feel better now. I still want to talk to you but I know you need some sleep now. I'll see you tomorrow, Viv!

I want to talk to him too! When I talk to him it feels like I'm safe. But I guess he is right. I really need sleep right now. I texted him back and said,
:
Thank you so much for today, Tan! I'll sleep now. See you tomorrow!

He immediately replied and said,
Tristan:
Its cute how you call me 'Tan'. I hope you keep on calling me that without being hesitant haha! Sleep well, Viv!

I smiled at what he said. He's something special to me. I like him so much. I hope he does too. The like I have for him is not just for friends though its more than that. I hope he feels the same way. But, I don't like him for his looks, I like him for having such an amazing personality.
