"Dude, look what Blaine was drawing in class!" Azimio laughed.

Blaine jerked his head to one side upon hearing his name. Puck had smoothed out a certain piece of paper and was smiling to himself. Kurt was going to be shook.

"So you're gay now?" Karovsky sneered.

Blaine blurted out the first excuse that came to mind. "Kurt gave it to me!"

"Isn't he afraid of you?" Azimio said.

"I'm not gay! Kurt likes me!"

His defensive tone made the bullies laugh. But they bought it, fortunately for Blaine. Later after school, Blaine was walking home and he saw Kurt with his friends.

"Kurt, you gotta tell someone." Mercedes says.

"But I don't want Blaine to get in trouble. He never hurts me... We used to be friends."

Blaine frowns at that thought. Friends. Like as if Blaine wanted to be friends with him. He just couldn't help it...

"How was your day at school?" John asked.

"Fine..." Blaine muttered.

"Your mom's not home yet."

The gelled boy stopped cold. He knew what was coming. He tried his hardest not to tremble as that took a horrendous penalty before.

A few punches later, Blaine was walking to his bedroom to clean the wounds. First, he removed the makeup on his face and revealed the cuts from the days before.

His right eye was purple and he had scratch that ran from his forehead down to his jaw. He was used to this treatment, of course and handled the wounds as so.

He crawled into bed that night, unable to take his mind off one Kurt Hummel. This led him to a very vivid dream that saddened him once he found out it was fake.

"Kurt!" Blaine whispered.

Kurt looked around to find the voice. He was alone in the halls so it sort of spooked him. He still knew the voice.

"Blaine?"

He eventually spotted him behind the lockers.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm not supposed to be seen with you..."

Kurt rolled his eyes at that. Clearly, Azimio's earlier hunch was wrong. Kurt wasn't afraid of Blaine at all. "Is there a reason you decided to become Marley's ghost?"

"I just wanted to..."

Blaine paused. He didn't even know what he was doing. "I don't hate you... Just letting you know..."

Kurt stood confused. "Um... Okay?"

Blaine silently scolded himself. The taller boy proceeded to open his locker and grab his things. He walked down the hall back to class. Blaine's eyes we're on him the entire time.

After tearing his eyes away from Kurt, Blaine walked back to class as well. He was about to open the door when Karovsky popped up in front of him. Blaine jumped back at least two feet.

"Jesus, K!"

"What were you doing with pretty boy?" Karovsky asks.

"P-pretty boy?"

"Kurt!"

"I... I was just telling him he wasn't off the hook just because I didn't kick his ass this morning." Blaine lied.

Karovsky nodded. "Oh..."

*********

Kurt could hear someone talking. He was in his room alone. He went down stairs but his dad was out with Carole and Finn was out with Rachel.

He began to think he was hearing things when he went back up to his room until he heard a sentence very clear. "Okay, what am I even doing here?"

He opened his window to see Blaine pacing outside. He tilted his head to one side. When Blaine noticed, he instantly panicked.

"Oh, hey Kurt! I didn't know you lived around here!"

Lies Kurt thought. You used to come over every day

"What are you doing here, Blaine?" Kurt sighed.

"Did you.... I don't know...  Want to hang out?    L-like we used to?"

"Uh... Sure?"

Kurt was beyond shocked. After Blaine ignored him for three years and turned into a badass, he'd never thought they'd hang out again. He let the gelled boy inside downstairs.

"Is this a trick?" Kurt asks. "Are Karovsky and Azimio waiting outside with water balloons again?"

Blaine looked down. "No..."

It was very awkward indeed. Both boys wanted to things to be like they used to, but after so long, it proved to be impossible.

"I missed you..." Blaine says.

Kurt looks down and shakes his head. "I'm not sure what you're doing here."

"Is it wrong to want to be friends again?"

"If I'm your friend, I'm going to be your only friend. Karovsky and Azimio aren't going to accept this..." Kurt says.

"I planned on keeping it a secret..."

This is bullshit. Kurt thought. After all these years?! You've gotta be kidding me

"So do you still like Moulin Rouge?"

And just like that, Kurt lit up again.

"Oh yes! I own it!"

*************

Blaine left Kurt's house happier than he'd expected. It was like they were best friends again, cracking jokes and singing like they used to.

He was in a particularly good mood when he came home only to find his father standing right near the door. He was confused by his father's angry expression until he checked his phone.

Four missed calls and 13 unread messages

The first thing that came to mind: shit
