Kurt's mouth dropped and Blaine continued.

"Multiple times. He didn't like me being gay so he hit me. And lied to my mother, not that she would really care because she's never around anyways." He paused to catch his breath. "I use makeup... like you saw that day in the bathroom?"

Kurt didn't respond but Blaine knew he understood.

"I... have, like, scars... and stuff..."

He wasn't sure what to say next. Kurt truly looked horrified. As if that wasn't enough, Blaine felt the need to show him, to prove that he wasn't making it up for attention or something even though Kurt would never dream such a thing.

"You mean..." Kurt choked out. "Your face... Your beautiful face..."

Blaine closed his eyes when Kurt rubbed the current makeup off his skin with his thumb. The bruises became evident, further shocking Kurt.

"I'm not so beautiful anymore..." Blaine whispered.

"Yes, you are!" Kurt said. "You're gorgeous, Blaine... I just- why would someone ever hurt you...?"

"Well, I'm not that nice either."

Blaine realized just how true that sentence was. When he left Kurt and became who he was, he didn't refrain from throwing kids in dumpsters or punching the shit out of anyone who dare get in his way.

He remembered when Puck had told him, "You don't wanna go down this road, man. It changes you. No one likes you anymore. It's like everyone's suddenly afraid of you. Even your friends and family."

Blaine knew now that Puck was right. Even Kurt was occasionally worried around him. He would never admit it, but Blaine could see his expression change, even for just a split second, into fear.

"What's gonna happen now?" Blaine suddenly asked. "My life is going to change forever. My dads gonna go to jail! My mom will just split like she always does! Where's Jack gonna go? Where will I live?!"

"What does Jack have to do with your family?"

"He was a part of the d-dream!"

"Blaine, calm down."

His hands were in fists again. There was no calming him down now. He couldn't leave it alone. He'd never be able to get back to sleep. He hopped out of bed.

"Where are you going?" Kurt asked.

"I-I have to find my parents. I have to tell them to hide!"

"Hide from what?"

"The police! When you call them, my dad will go to jail! I can't let that happen, he'll kill me!"

Kurt sighed.

"You're not making any sense, Blaine. Your dad can't hurt you if he's in jail. And who said I was calling the police, anyway?"

Blaine pauses, staring at Kurt with huge hazel eyes.

"You mean you aren't?"

"I don't know. But I do know that if I was, I'm not going to do it right this second. It's like four am. You need to get some sleep."

"I can't sleep, Kurt. No way!"

"Come on, Blaine. You aren't doing well."

Blaine nearly burst into tears a second time. He hated his father for hurting him, but he also didn't want his father to go to jail! He wasn't making any sense! Did he love his father or not?!

"I h-have to!" Blaine yelled.

"Um.. Have to what?"

Kurt looked worried now. Blaine seemed like an entirely different person. That only made things worse. Blaine saw Kurt looking scared, and instantly panicked.

He was shocked into silence, trembling.

He's scared of me too. Blaine thought. I'm becoming a monster

Kurt took Blaine's trembling hands and led him back toward the bed. He was trying to calm the boy down, but he simply couldn't stop worrying. Not until Kurt kissed him.

His worries seemed less real in that moment and he let out a sigh. Kurt smiles shyly at his successful attempt to calm Blaine.

"I'm so sorry..." Blaine cried.

"Don't be." Kurt whispered. "Just try and get some sleep. We can talk about this in the morning."

**********

When morning came, there was a sense of uneasiness. Blaine couldn't keep his mind off of what Kurt has said.

"So..." Blaine whispered, running his hand through his curls.

"So..." Kurt said, staring at him.

Kurt's father had seemed worried about Blaine. Burt noticed when Blaine flinched over small things like an alarm clock, or the way the toast popped up in the toaster.

"Is he okay?" He'd asked Kurt. "He looks... upset."

"I don't know." Kurt replied. "I'm trying to... fix things."

They left it at that and started off for school. Blaine went to first hour, which in his case was Physical Education.

"You look like crap, dude." Puck said, slightly worried. "Are you alright?"

"My life is turning upside down. I swear, I'm never gonna catch a break! It's like yesterday I had the most insane dreams and I couldn't stop shaking until Kurt came being a friggin superhero! He knows about my dad! He knows about my mom! God knows where Jack is! What am I gonna do?!" Blaine rambled.

They were alone in the locker room at this point, Blaine biting his lip and Puck increasingly worried about his friend.

"I thought telling Kurt was a good thing. Now you don't have to lie anymore." Puck said.

"That's true, but what if he calls the police!" Blaine panicked. "Seriously, my dad could go to jail!"

"I thought you hated your dad."

"That doesn't mean I want him to go to jail!"
