Hey guys I just realized I haven't been putting trigger warnings. I'm so sorry I will fix that as soon as I can. For now, this is your trigger warning for the rest of the book because shits about to go down.

"Burt...?" Finn slowly opened the door to their home. "Mom...?"

There was a silence while Finn searches for his parents. It wasn't until he saw them both asleep that he decided to stay home. He was going to search with the rest, but someone needed to be with the part of his family that wasn't kidnapped.

Even in slumber, they looked stressed. Burt especially looked like he was in the hospital for a heart attack all over again.

"I love you guys..." Finn whispered so he wouldn't wake them and proceeded to text the Glee Club his change of plans.

***********

They'd gotten through the gates to retrieve Quinn's hat. Although the guard only allowed them one minute to search for it, they spent a good 55 seconds searching for clues to the investigation instead.

They did eventually find her hat, though. What came as a shock was that it landed right on top of Kurt's phone. Way in the back behind a bright yellow cardboard bumble bee with the words "Mad House" on it.

The first thing they saw was a million texts from Carole, Burt, Finn and almost everyone else in the Glee club. The only one who hadn't texted Kurt was Rachel who couldn't bring herself to pick up her phone at times.

Her lock screen was a picture of her and her best friend when they went to Nationals together in New York. Now came the hard part.

Quinn still wanted to give the evidence to the police since they could uncover fingerprints, but Finn still needed to investigate on his own. He felt as if he were the only one who really knew Kurt even though deep down he really didn't.

He kept replaying the fights they'd had over the years, and that was enough to drive a person crazy. In the end, Sam pocketed the phone and they left with Quinn's hat.

***********

"Shhhh!" Blaine whispered.

They were behind a walls of the meeting room. Kurt was in the front of the line, able to peer inside the room. With that ability, he saw the footballers were actually planning a way out as well.

They moved stealthily across the freezing rooms and found Jack staring at the gun that had possibly killed someone. Further down they saw the room where Azimio had been shot, and the earlier hunch was no longer a mystery.

TRIGGER THIS IS SAD PARTTTTT

Kurt had nearly screams when he saw it. He wanted to crawl up into a ball and die. He didn't want to be on an earth that contained such monsters. He considered just for a second going back to their cell.

He considered letting them kill him. What did he have to live for anyway? He'd just be living in fear. Just because he was gay.

Blaine had gone through a similar thought process with his father. Instead of trying to kill himself, he found Kurt. He was able to confide in Kurt.

Soon, Kurt would be able to confide in Blaine. A loud crash caused both Kurt and Blaine to look back at the same time. Karovsky quickly stood back up after successfully tripping over a shiny black object.

Kurt eyes grew wide while Jack stood dumbfounded. Blaine was about to beat the hell out of Karovsky but someone distracted him.

"Why would you throw it?! Are you an idiot?!" Jack screamed at the boy who had thrown the object.

"It seemed like a good idea at the time, I swear!" The boy said.

A few seconds passed before everyone made a grab for the gun. Blaine lunged for it while Karovsky jumped out of the way. Kurt slid underneath at least four boys in an attempt to get to it as well.

Eventually, one boy stood above the rest with the object in hand: Blaine Anderson. He had it pointed in Jacks direction, his fingers trembling. Kurt stood behind him with Karovsky. The footballers seemed uncomfortable but ready to fight.

"Blaine, you were always a good boy." Jack smiled. "You couldn't pull that trigger if you tried."

"You know, I thought the same thing about you. And yet Azimio is.... he's g-gone."

Blaine was momentarily distracted, so Jack made a grab for the weapon. Out of instinct, Blaine wacked him upside the head with it. His mouth hung open as Jack fell unconscious.

He suddenly looked at the rest of them. "How do we get out?"

"Jack wouldn't tell us anything... we know where the door is but we don't have the passcode." A boy said.
