Faint coughs would be heard from Edd's room. Tom's head snapped as Edd's door opened. Tom backed away. "Tommy its just a cold, calm down" Tom shook his head, clearly he had all the symptoms. Tom sighed, keeping his distance as well as putting on a face mask for extra protection. "If its only a cold then can we go to the hospital? Just  to check, these times are crazy and we have to make sure." Tom said all muffled from the mask. "Fine, but promise you'll take that stupid thing off your face." Tom nodded. "Only after we know you're clean!" Edd groaned, walking back to his room to get ready.

Soon after a 20 minute drive they arrived at the hospital.

"Hello! How may I help you today?" Tom sighed taking off the mask. "My friend has been coughing and such a lot, he insists its a cold but you can never be too sure, so he's here for a checkup.." Tom whispered as Edd wandered around, reading posters and flyers. She nodded, becoming a little more serious, "We'll get him into a room immediately, for now tell him to wear this" She handed Tom a mask. "In case...He does have it, that there is no exposure to others." Thomas nodded, taking the mask and walking to Edd.

"Wear this." Edd shook his head. "Nooo!" Tom growled. "Put it on dipshit or I swear to god I'll bend your back so far your spine will snap like a pretzel." Edd's eyes widened as he quickly took the mask and put it on. "Good" Tom smiled.

They sat in the waiting chairs, Edd kept humming and playing with his fingers, which pissed Tom off, but he had to pass time somehow. 'I know..' Tom thought to himself as he grabbed his phone and opened a chat with Tord, and Matt. He messaged them for a while telling them what and where they were. Soon the kind lady called Edd's name.

Tom looked up, "Go on Edd, you're no child." Tom smiled. Edd nodded as he walked behind the lady.

Not even 10 minutes later, the lady rushed to him, "He's got it.." She sighed, giving Tom a flyer for awareness. Tom shook, and nodded. "I'm sorry sir, he will have to be quarantined, there will be people to take his stuff and cleanse the house/apartment he was living in, just in case." Tom stood up, looking down at her. "I live with him though! Where do I stay?" She sighed. "With a friend? I have no idea sir, but I suggest not going there for a while." Tom nodded, giving her their address and all the other information. "Thank you...Bye.."

Tom drove to Tord and Matt's place. "Thomas!" Tord smiled, hugging him tightly. "Where's Eddie?" Matt smiled. Tom looked down at Tord, nodding. Tord gasped, hugging the sad blueberry. "Wait? You can't be implying.." Matt covered his forehead, taking Tom inside. "Sit down, you must be frustrated," Tord told him, taking cups out to make some tea. "Its alright guys..He'll be fine." Tom covered his face.

"Tea's done." Tord came over with the tea. "Guys would you do anything for me? Like anything?" Tord smiled a sad one. "Of course" Matt nodded in agreement. "Well since our apartment has a lot of contaminated stuff in it, we'll probably not be able to go there for a while.." Tord smiled, planting a kiss on Tom's forehead. "Of course you can stay with us." Matt once again nodded in agreement, this time giving a small smile.

"Thank you.."

Guys if you couldn't tell this was a short story about COVID-19. I didn't want to mention the name to see if you would get the point. Stay aware and stay inside. The virus is dangerous and new, please if you don't have to stay inside, or around your house, just stay near it as much as possible. I don't recommend human interaction with people other than your roommates, parents, or siblings. Interact with those who don't go outside much/are close to you, and you know that they don't go outside much. If you need to go outside for food, do but stay cautious and wear a mask if possible to protect yourself. For now if you are underage and live with your parents, go outside once in a while to get fresh air and sunlight, but stay inside and listen to your parents.

Thank you all, stay safe, healthy and stay inside!
