A/N - I can't sleep so imma just write a bunch of chapters and edit them all. This will be quite short UwU credit to my best friend Elliane_Blackwing for helping me come up with the idea

I toss and turn in my bed, restless. I'm having thoughts about home. I miss my father, Erwin, fresh air... should I tell Levi about my past? I can't.. can I? What if he hates me? No, that's a what if. Not a 'he will'.

I hear shuffling downstairs even though it's early in the morning. I don't think I'll get much more sleep so I get out of bed and tumble downstairs, dizzy after standing up too quickly. "Careful, don't bang your head against the wall." I hear Levi's cold voice say.

"Right, noted." He turns and gives me a small smile. "Tea?" I nod happily and walk over to the table, sitting down. He sets a cup of black tea down in front of me and sits next to me.

"So... I was wondering," he starts, and I immediately lift my head to show I was listening. "Want to go on a date today? Our usual spot of course." Levi and I started dating when we were 15.

If you're older than Levi, so your birthday is before December 25th:

I'm nearly 16 now so it's almost been a year.

If you're younger than Levi, so your birthday is after December 25th:

Levi's nearly 16 now, so it's almost been a year.

If you're born on December 25th:

We have the same birthday, and we're nearly 16 now so it should be about.. almost a year I think?

Every date we went on, we went to the exact same spot. Under that hole which shows the sky. I think it's a beautiful place and it's where we first got together so... it's very romantic.

"Yeah, we can go on a date. Actually, I'd love to!" I grin at him, he always knows how to make me feel better. Even if he doesn't know he's doing it. If he shows me the smallest of smiles, my day is instantly brighter... even if we can't see the sun.

We talk as we drink tea, until Isabel and Farlan wake up. Levi and I tend to wake up at ungodly hours so it took what seemed like hours for them to come down. "So, what's the plan for today?"

"Levi and I have a date, but before that-" I look towards Levi for instructions. He rolls his eyes and says, "Cleaning. We're cleaning."

Oh my god you can put writing in the middle what? THIS IS SO COOL!

"Of course we are." Farlan sighs, dropping his head down on the table. "Hey! Cleaning is a form of exercise you know?" I retort and he glares at me. "How in the world is it exercise?" I pat my head lightly, giggling. "Brain exercise." (LIKE FINDING OUT YOU CAN WRITE IN THE MIDDLE THAT'S BRAIN EXERCISE!!!!)

"Of course it is to you two. It's like hell for us." Isabel sighs, looking at me and Levi with pleading eyes. "Bro... sis! Pleasee~~! Can't we do something fun today?" I shake my head no with a light smile. "We haven't cleaned in a while, dust is beginning to settle." She groans, and I put my hand on my back to reassure her. "Think of it this way. It's best to get cleaning out of the way today, then we don't have to do it for a while. So we can have more fun tomorrow." She smiles at me and nods happily.

We put cloths over our mouths and hair and begin to clean. Which to Levi, is the best part of his day. I didn't like dust myself, but I don't go as far as Levi, who gives the ceiling a thorough scrub.

Anyways, after that, Levi took me to our spot and set down a little blanket. It was night time so we were laid down, star gazing. I decided it was time.

"L-Levi?" I ask to get his attention, turning my head to face him, only to see he's looking towards me already, ready to listen. "I...I've been lying to you." He grabs my hand, squeezing it lightly. "How so? We can work it out together."

"I've been lying about my past ever since we met." I mumble guiltily, looking the other way. However, he grabs my head and turns me to face him again, planting a light kiss on my lips. "I'm ready to listen now."

"I'm not from the Underground. I'm from up there, in Stohess." His lips slightly part in shock, but he doesn't say a word, as if urging me to go on. "I... lost my mother when I was five, but I had my father and my big brother. One day, my father had told Erwin something.. what it was slips by me." That was a lie, but I wasn't ready to tell him that part yet.

"Erwin then told me. It must have been something important because father made us swear we wouldn't tell anyone. And I didn't, but I can't say the same about Erwin... because, one day, I was talking to my friends when some MPs walked up to us." I hold back my sob. I'm telling Levi the story I've been wanting to forget ever since it happened. "You don't have to continue."

"No, I want to. Anyways, they came up to us and grabbed my arm. I motioned for my friends to go get Erwin but they were too late.. they dragged me into an alleyway, trying to decide whether or not to kill me. They decided to throw me in the underground under the assumption that I wouldn't survive more than a day. But I have, because of you... you saved me." I then notice I'm crying, as Levi raises his soft hand to wipe my tears.

"And then when you showed me the sky... I felt so happy. I hadn't seen the sky in years, I hadn't felt the fresh air, I hadn't felt free.. you've helped me more than you know Levi, and I love you so much for that." This was the first time we were saying I love you. "I love you too, Y/N. And I promise you, I'll get you back up there to your brother and your father... no matter what it takes." I smile brightly at him.

"If you don't mind my asking, what's your family name?" I pull my necklace out from
under my shirt and show him the crest. "Smith?" I nod, smiling happily at the necklace. "My father's a teacher but my other family members were very important businessmen. We're a well-known family.."

"I see... well, Y/N Smith, once again, I promise I'll get you home."

But what sacrifices would he make in order to fulfil that promise?
