Evangeline's P.O.V
I sat on the beach where I first met Caliban. Though it was depressing as it already was, it was a nice change of scenery. It's been days since Caliban had gone to Earth and was defeated. I was making a small sandcastle to help distract myself. My ladies in waiting along with some demons were watching over me to make sure nothing happened to me.
"Darling, are you okay?" I looked over to see Caliban walking over to me.
"I'm fine," I lied as I continued to make my sandcastle.
"Evangeline, you know you can talk to me right?" Caliban said, sitting next to me. I looked over at him before letting out a sigh.
"I just miss my family and friends," I tell Caliban.
"Evangeline-"
"I'm not saying I blame you but I just had wished that my last moments with them weren't so rushed or trying to survive from the pagans," I tell him.
"If I could redo everything for you, I would. You know I want you to be happy, my love," Caliban told me.
"I know but this is just too overwhelming," I tell him before standing up and walking over to my ladies in waiting.
"I wish to go back to my room please," I tell them.
"Of course."
The moment I got back to my room, I walked over to the bathroom to take a relaxing bath. Once my ladies in waiting helped me make the bath, I sat in the tub, staring at the bubbles. Soft music played as I sat alone with my thoughts.
"May I join you?" I looked over to see Caliban standing nearby. I shrugged at him.
"I don't care."
Caliban stripped off his clothes before getting in the tub with me. I looked at him as he got close to me.
"Do you want to talk about it more?" Caliban asked.
"Do you think I could visit them at one point?" I asked him.
"Your family and friends?"
"Yes. I miss them so much," I sighed.
"Maybe one day, my love."
After the bath, I was doing a self care routine while Caliban was out talking to the council. I was relaxing until I heard someone barge into the bathroom. I turned to see my ladies in waiting.
"My lady. The king demands to see you right now," they told me.
I got dressed before rushing over to the throne room. I saw Caliban standing while I saw a bunch of other people around.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Is this the woman you had forced to marry?" An attractive man asked. Sure he was handsome but he wasn't as handsome as Caliban.
"Yes. You can do whatever you want, just please don't hurt her and send her to Heaven with her family and friends," Caliban said.
"Caliban? What's going on?" I asked worriedly.
"You're going to see your family, Evangeline," Caliban told me.
"What do you mean?"
"The angel Michael will take you above," Caliban said. I looked over at Michael who I now realized was armored.
"Caliban-"
"Take her. Please," Caliban said.
"The King of Hell saying please? I don't believe it. And what if I were to kill her right now since she is probably affected by you," Michael said before holding a knife to my neck. I gasped as he held me close to him.
"Don't harm her!" Caliban roared in anger.
"Why not?"
"Because she's pure. She's an innocent mortal who I took because of her beauty," Caliban explained to him.
"Alright. Take her to heaven where her family is," Michael told one of the other angels.
"Caliban!" I reached out as one of the angels took me. My eyes never left Caliban as the angel quickly put me to sleep.
I didn't know what it felt like. It was hard to explain what dying felt like. Kinda like what Sirius Black said, it was quicker than falling asleep. Though it did feel like sleeping in a way. Death was hard to explain.
"Evangeline?" I woke up to hear my sister's voice. I sat up to see her sitting by the edge of my bed. I also saw my brother sitting on the other side. The room looked like my room back home.
"Paige? Christian?" I asked as I hugged them both tightly.
"Are you okay?" Christian asked me.
"I'm okay. What happened with you guys?" I asked. The two of them looked at each other. Christian looked down while Paige looked at me.
"We went to that carnival and turned out they were magical and we got turned into these things. We died and so did mom and dad," Paige broke the news to me. I looked down in sadness. I looked up before hugging them again.
"I'm so glad to see you both again," I tell him.
"There's something else you should know," Christian told me.
"What?"
"We all know about your marriage," Paige told me. I looked at the two before letting out a sigh.
"I can explain-"
"No need. We understood," Paige said.
"Is mom and dad here?" I asked.
"Yeah. Come on."
The two got up before leaving my room. I looked down at my outfit which looked like something I'd wear back on Earth. I looked down at my hand to see my ring that Caliban gave me. I frowned as I looked at it. He let me go so I could be back with my family. I fidgeted with the ring before walking out of my room.
