Tw: Anxiety, talk about anxiety
Virgil stood awkwardly on the other side of the counter, the sleeves of his jacket were pulled over his hands. He crossed his arms and tapped his hand against his arm. Patton was telling him a few things about himself, Logan, and Roman. There were a few times when Roman or Logan would tell Patton to talk about something else, and every once in awhile Patton would ask him a question relating to the conversation. "...and Roman's an actor. Do you have any hobbies, Virgil? Besides drawing?
Virgil shook his head, "no, uh, not really"
"Well, what kind of stuff do you like to draw?" Patton asked
"Uh... I don't know. People I guess, I'm good at drawing people" Virgil said
"Would that be why there are so many pictures of Deceit and The Duke?" Logan asked
Virgil shrugged, "I don't really know anybody else."
"They let you draw them?"
"The people I draw never notice. I don't like people I don't know looking through my sketchbook"
"Do you draw animals?" Patton asked excitedly
"Uh, I drew a cat once but it didn't come out very well," Virgil said, taking a step back as Patton jumped forward.
"Patton, would you please set the table? Virgil, would you mind helping him?"
"Of course Lo," Patton said.
Virgil nodded, "Uh sure. Yeah"
"I'm going to go retrieve Roman. I will return momentarily. Patton..." Logan left it at that before walking down the hallway.
"Here you go Virgil, why don't you take these to the table?" Patton said, handing him a stack of plates. Virgil nodded, taking the plates in his hands. They rattled as his hands shook nervously, He put them on the table and set one in each place. Patton and he finished setting the table just as Logan returned with Roman behind him. Patton and Logan sat down on one side of the table and Roman took a seat on the other side. "You can sit next to Roman if you want," Patton said
Virgil looked at the last empty seat at the table, then nodded as he sat down in front of the plate, the chair as far from Roman as it could go. Virgil stared at the plate of food in front of him, his leg bouncing up and down again. The table was quiet as everyone except Virgil began to eat. None of them were used to a silent meal. Patton and Roman normally kept the chatter up when the three friends would get the chance to eat together, while Virgil was used to Remus making dirty comments and Deceit talking about plans, as well as a few interesting and confusing conversations on ethics.
"Virgil, are you alright?" Logan asked, breaking the silence and causing the other to jump.
"hmm? Yeah, sorry"
"You aren't eating, are you vegetarian?" Logan questioned
Patton's eyes widened "Are you? You should have told us Kiddo, we would've made something else."
Virgil shook his head, "No, no I'm not vegetarian. I eat meat it's just-" Virgil began
"There's nothing in the food you know," Roman said, "you saw Logan make it."
"I know it's just-"
"Is it an allergy Kiddo?"
"I don't like eating when I'm anxious," Virgil said quickly.
"You're anxious?" Patton asked
"This isn't exactly the best scenario to be in and sometimes eating when I'm anxious makes me feel sick," Virgil said, the others stared at him as he kept looking down at the table.
