I forgot this was happening today. You guys are in for it.

Day One-Hundred and Sixty-Three | Friday | August 19th

Virgil smiled proudly at the drawing he had just finished showing off to the others. It was a drawing of the four of them sitting at the table in the restaurant they had eaten at the other night. A waiter had taken their picture and Virgil may or may not have ended up stealing his boyfriend's phone for two hours before Logan reminded him that he could just send the picture to himself.

This was why Logan was the technopath and the nerd.

But anyway, Virgil had just finished showing them the picture and they had all liked it, even he was feeling proud of the work. He figured everybody's constant reminders to not self-deprecate had finally started to wear off on him, not that that was a bad thing. At least everybody else said it wasn't a bad thing, and he found that he actually liked his brain when it wasn't constantly yelling insults at him.

Virgil smile slipped as he looked away from the sketchbook and looked out the window instead, "You can come out now," he said to the empty room, "I know you're there, no use in hiding"

A laugh that he was all too familiar to him seemed to echo through the room before Deceit gradually became visible again, the office chair that sat in the corner of the room spun slightly so he was turned to face him, "Aw Virgil, you always did have the awful habit of ruining my dramatic entrances"

Virgil glared at the man in front of him, "Trust me I've spent the last few months with an actor. You're not very dramatic at all."

Deceits' eyes narrowed, "What gave me away?"

"After eight years of hell, it becomes pretty easy to start recognizing the devil"

"You can't seriously be comparing me to Satan?" Deceit said unconvinced, his eyebrow raised in an amused fashion, "I didn't think you were religious. Or was that another thing your new 'friends' taught you?"

Virgil put his hands into his pocket, his finger brushing the fidget toy, "What do you want Deceit?"

Deceit smiled, "Isn't it obvious? I'm here for you."

Virgil took a step back, half-tempted to scream for help but he knew that would just anger the person in front of him, "How'd you get in here?"

"Remus didn't teleport me in"

Virgil nodded his understanding, "Is he here too?"

"He's isn't waiting outside, just in case you decide to make this harder than it needs to be." Deceit replied Virgil seemed to relax slightly once he learned that the telepath wasn't in the room. Deceit stood up, slowly making his way over to where Virgil had put down his sketchbook. "They seem like such nice people Virgil, it'd be a shame if they were to get hurt, just because you decided to be a coward, and not run away."

"Just stay away from them" Virgil growled

Deceit smirked, "Staying away from them can be arranged," he said as he began to circle Virgil as if he was prey, and in a way, he was "Unless, of course, you made the wrong decision, did you make the wrong decision Virgil?" Deceit stopped behind him as he placed his hand on Virgil's shoulder. Virgil pulled away, turning to face Deceit again as he glared at the man before him.

Virgil's eyes dropped to the ground as he thought. If he didn't go than Deceit was going to hurt the others. Even if he didn't succeed in killing them like he no doubt wanted to do, someone was still bound to get hurt. He couldn't let that happen to them.
