TW: Not sleeping, Implications of not eating, Anxiety, Talking about Anorexia

Day Ninety-Eight | Thursday | June 16th

"You need to sleep Virgil" Roman said when he learned that Virgil hadn't slept more than an hour or two at a time since he had woken him from his nightmare.

'sleep is for the weak'  Virgil nearly said before he sighed, "I have been sleeping, just not a lot. Look, Logan and Patton have already told me the exact same thing and it isn't like I'm not trying to sleep It's just... hard"

Roman was about to argue back when his phone rang, he looked at the ID, finding his older brother's name and face on the screen he sighed. Angel only called when it was important, "I'll be back, you take a nap"

"Why would I take a nap if you're coming back?"

"You're infuriating me emo," Roman said as he went to his room and answered the phone, "¿Qué pasa Angel?" (What's wrong Angel?)

"Can't I call my little brother without there being a problem?" came the response.

"Angel, I just got off a really long and really bad shift so I'm really not in the mood. What do you need?" Roman said as he brushed his fingers through his hair.

Angel sighed, just as dramatically as Roman did "Okay, I need an interview with Superhero you."

"No," Roman said quickly

"Roman, please! I'm out of school now and the station said that if I could get a truly remarkable story than they'll promote me. I could be a real reporter! Please hermano. This is really important" Angel pleaded, his voice sounded desperate and excited at the same time.

Roman sat down on his bed, his red sheets becoming wrinkled under his weight, "Angel, you're not even in the city yet-"

"I can be there by tomorrow, I can stay at your house or-"

"No!" Roman said quickly, Angel was smart and very perspective. It hadn't taken him very long at all to figure out Patton and Logan also had powers, or that the three of them were the cities, superhero team. Luckily family was more important to him than fame, only slightly though. And Roman knew that if Angel stayed at their house than he'd discover who Virgil is quicker than you can say 'Gayer Disney'. If Angel came it could put Virgil at risk, and that wasn't allowed. "Angel, there's a lot going on over here right now, and staying here really wouldn't be the best idea"

Angel sighed again, "Okay, then I'll stay at a hotel. But can I get that interview?"

Roman shook his head, though he knew his brother couldn't see him, " Angel it's not safe. If our enemies think that I know you they might attack you." Roman said, his English changing to Spanish as he became more desperate to convince his brother to forget about the interview.

"Like I'm afraid of an illusionist and his two evil henchmen"

"First of all, you should be afraid he's a lot stronger than you think. And second, there's only one of them now, the other hasn't shown up in forever"

"Even more reason to let me do an interview! Roman please, I need this story, it's important"

"Angel, I can't stop you from doing a story, but I can't do an interview. It would be dangerous, and if anything happened mamá would have my head, I'm sorry. Need anything else?"

Angel sighed in defeat, "No. I'll drive over on Friday and work from the hotel until opportunity strikes"

Roman groaned, "Just don't get in the way, our job is already hard enough without civilians getting in the way, call me when you get here and we'll have lunch," The brothers said their goodbyes before hanging up. Roman mumbled about his fame-hungry brother before getting up to continue to nag at Virgil to get some more sleep.
