TW: Curse word(s)

Day Eighteen | Monday | March 26th

Patton sat at the other end of the coffee table, another arts and craft project in front of him. Virgil was on the other end, another book from Logan in his lap. It would have been normal except Patton hadn't let him help this time. It had been two days since the tiger, and he had been very quiet for both of them. "Patton?" Virgil asked, "Are you okay"

Patton glanced up, "Yeah, I'm fine. Why do you guys keep asking?" It was true that it wasn't the first time Patton had been asked if he was okay. But the others had been worried about him so they asked.

"You just seem upset," Virgil said.

"I'm not," Patton got up and rinsed the watercolors off his hands.

Virgil nodded, he hadn't known Patton long but even he could see that he wasn't alright. Despite knowing this though, he wasn't going to push it. Patton didn't want to talk about it, he didn't feel comfortable doing so. Pressuring him might just make the scenario worse. Besides, Logan and Roman knew Patton better than Virgil did, they had to have noticed that something was wrong with Patton. Virgil should just let them handle it.

"I'm freaking out Logan" Roman said. The day of his interview had arrived. He had been up all night worrying about it, the past few days since the tiger incident had been spent asking anybody he could to go through practice interviews with him He had even figured out which commercials the company had made and memorized everything about it.  Now Roman has a jingle about bears stuck in his head but it didn't matter, because if it helped him get this job it was all worth it.

"You are overthinking it, Roman," Logan said from the driver's seat. He was tired of being asked to run through fake interviews and watch commercial after commercial just so Roman could reenact them in front of him. Logan was pretty sure they all were, except Patton would never say anything because he was really nice, and Virgil would never say anything because Logan was pretty sure Virgil didn't think he had a voice in things like that.

"I'm not overthinking. Logan, I have been looking for a job for six months. I've been wanting to get paid to act since junior year. I have that chance now, yeah it's not Broadway but it's getting closer than I was when I still had that desk job. This is really important to me. What if I don't get it? What if I'm still stuck doing what I've been doing? What then?"

Roman looked at Logan, he obviously was really worried about this interview, "You know me, I don't care for sentiment." Logan said with a sigh

"I just need you to tell me the truth. Except sugar coat it because sometimes you make the truth really sad" Roman asked him.

"Patton would really be a better person to ask"

"Patton isn't here and even if he was he's acting weird so please Logan!" Roman begged

Logan rolled his eyes "You have been acting since middle school Roman, and you are talented in that field. I have known you on and off stage for five years now. So I can say with total confidence that you are a great person, very flamboyant but not so much that people aren't able to be around you." Logan said this was odd for him. "Besides, statistics say that for those who are actively looking for work, unemployment often lasts about half a year. You'll be fine."

Roman smiled, "Thanks, Logan. I needed that"

"Of course Roman. We are friends, we'll always be there to help each other. Though you really should learn how to tie a tie" Logan said before stopping the car in front of a large building. "Break a leg Roman."
