The time has now come.
The time, in which a certain intern's plan would go out to the world. Her last chance at redemption, the final straw. And the time and that chance all depended on a few clicks and a single computer.
"Jieun, hurry up," the intern tells the agent beside her, hunched before a computer and fingers flicking above a keyboard as her eyes reflected the glow of a screen.
"I am hurrying, Emilia," the agent replies, brushing her bangs out of her eyes. She deeply regrets getting them, now that they were so long and irritating. "It's not working!"
"Let me try," another voice says. It's a boy, with a quiet voice and smooth, tan skin. He leans above the keyboard and presses a few buttons. "You're not doing it properly."
The screen glows green, and they all sigh in relief. Jieun huffs and crosses her arms. "Excuse me, I do things properly, Kiro. Properly but harshly."
They chuckle, before huddling closer and closer to the screen. Eyes glazing, they patiently wait, hearts beating in anticipation-this was finally it, their project would finally be released-!
the loading icon comes to a halt, and three words show up on the screen.

and all around the country, people's phones light up. headlines pop up from various news channels and radio stations are blaring the good news. students and teens and adults alike wake from their slumber and hurriedly type, like, comment, and share across various media platforms and the world.
"RECRUITS FOR BATCH SEVENTEEN NOW CHOSEN!"
