Aidah looks down as Rayyan eats.

She loves his little mouth, his little cheeks, his tiny nose...

He is wearing a blue long sleeved onesie. He was wrapped in a soft, white blanket. It has been two weeks since she was cleared from the hospital and she is still not over how beautiful her baby boy is. She likes the way his skin feels against hers, so soft. He smells so good too.

He's just a big bundle of cuteness and she is so in love with him. He is a healthy baby, and according to the doctor, she had a good labor. Although she wouldn't use that word to describe it. Still, she feels so blessed and happy.

Rayyan has his eyes open as he sucks. He looks up at her and she smiles.

"Hey baby." She sings to him, running her index finger along his soft cheek. She is in his room, sitting in the rocking chair which had been her home since they came back from the hospital. She doesn't mind, though.

Earlier during the week, they took a family photo for the naming ceremony. It was rather a beautiful and fun day. She was staring at her little boy when a call from Adda Ni'imah came in. She answered.

"Hello Rayyan's Ammi!."

Aidah chuckled. "Hi Nahar's Maama, how are you? And how's my Nahari?."

"We are all good Alhamdulillah, How's baby Ray ray?"

"Rayray is fine Alhamdulillah, he's eating." She looked down at him as she answered.

"We can't wait for you to come back, we are so eager to see our yummy handsome baby boy."

Mashallah, she has the most beautiful baby.

3 weeks later...

"Assalamu Alaikum." Sayyid came in with a salam.

Aidah smiled. "Wa alaikum salam, hi."

He came to where she's sitting in the living room and sat next to her on the couch. He put his arm around her shoulders and pecked her on the cheek. "How are you, my love?"

"I'm fine, Alhamdulillah. We missed you today, daddy."

"And I missed you more. Where is Rayyan?."

She sighed. "He's with Mami, she offered to take him for the night so that I could rest."

He tucked my messy hair behind my ear. "Hmm, so does that mean we're alone for the night?."

She jabbed him on the arm, playfully. "Sayyid!"

He chuckled. "What?"

"You know what.."

"You really need to get your hair done, babe."

She whined. "I know right, I'm thinking of going to the salon tomorrow inshallah. Since Rayyan is four weeks old, I can leave him with his grand-mummies and Aunties to go for a quick hairdo."
