Chapter 13: Soul Eaters pt.2

KAREN

"Come on."

Sumunod naman ang mga ito sa akin sa likod ng Academy kung saan ay wala ni isang studyante ang naroon. No one comes here, and It's a place prone to soul eaters.

"So, what exactly are we doing?" I asked looking at ace. Nakatutok ito sa paligid at mukhang pina pakiramdaman kung may iba pang tao na narito.

"We need to find out why soul eaters suddenly are in penn square." Sagot ni dane sa akin na naglalabas ng mga gamit nito sa suitcase niya ngayon.

It's just the three of us here dahil sa kami kang naman ang may sapat na kakayahan para rito. Kung sinama pa namin ang iba mas lalo lang kaming mapapahamak at babagal. Kaya't eto kami ngayon.

"It is odd, they were never there kaya't nakakapagtaka talaga kung bakit bigla nalang silang sumugod on daylight."

Soul eaters doesnt make a move lalo na kapag maliwanag dahil maraming tao, mas aktibo nga sila sa gabi eh. And it is really odd na sumugod sila on daylight. Why?

"Dont you think it has something to do with winter?" I wondered considering things.

Siya lang yung inatake ng mga toh despite the amount of witches there. Nagkatinginan kaming tatlo dahil doon.

"Maybe its because She's a frostlyn?"

"Or maybe more than that" ace suddenly stepped in grabbing his sword beside him and slowly walking towards the almost broken gate that will lead us to the dark forest.

More than that? What could it be then?

"Soul eaters are creatures created by the dark side, they will never attack just one specific person in broad daylight if no one told them too, they wont make a move if it isnt necessary." He pointed out.

He opened the gate as the cold and scary athmosphere welcomed us.

"The frostlyn might be in danger."

Lumapit silang dalawa ni dane doon and started walking out of the Academy. But then i felt some sort of presence, kaya't napatingin ako kay ace but he just gestured his fingers at me to ignore it.

I looked behind us one last time and went with them.

"Keep your guards up, we will be hunting soul eaters tonight."

WINTER

Nag-inat ako sa pagod ko kaka linis sa mesa doon sa Office. Hindi naman sila mga bata para mag lagay ng bubble gum sa ilalim ng mesa pero yun nga ang nakita ko.

Lumabas ako doon at naglakad sa hallway patungo sa dorm namin.

Pag nakita ko talaga yung ace na yun sasakalin ko na. Ang daming pinagawa eh hindi naman ako utusan.

Bigla namang bumaling sa isipan ko ang sinabi ng principal kanina and started to get worried. Some sort of shadow is following me?

Nanindig naman ang aking mga balahibo ng may mga yapak akong narinig sa likod ko. Akala ko fantasy toh bat may horror?

I started walking faster than usual and took a deep breathe looking back for a moment.

Taena kung sino tung sumusunod sa akin wag naman sana oh, ang ganda ko pa masyado para mamatay. Kailangan ko pang gantihan yung demonyong presidente na yun. Sige na naman Oh.

Naglakad lang ako ng naglakad, ngunit dahil parang sumusunod talaga yun tumakbo na ako sa kahit anong lugar rito.

I went left and hid there, waiting for the person to reveal itself. Pero...nothing is there no one should i say.

Was it just an illusion? Pero hindi pwede dahil si principal na ang nagsabi na meron talaga.

I looked around me at napakunot ang noo ng mapagtantong nasa likod na ako ng Academy dahil puros na sira na bagay ang narito. Nandito rin sina—

Karen?! Dane?! At si demonyo?!

Anong ginagawa ng mga ito dito?

I saw ace and dane walking up to the gate while Karen is looking around maybe making Sure na walang makakakita sa kanila.

Saan pupunta tung mga toh? Ganto ng oras aalis ng Academy?

Nagsilabasan na ang mga ito and eventually dissapeared in my sight.

I cant be more curios than i am already, where are they going? Bat hindi nila kasama ang iba?

I went out of my hiding spot and looked around me tsaka napatingin sa pinasukan ng mga itong masukal na kagubatan. Its really dark and scary at talagang hindi ko gugustuhing mapunta diyan but, whats the use of the fighting skills my uncle Pete taught me.

I took a deep breath tsaka sumunod sa mga ito being aware of my environment.

Sinalubong naman ako ng malamig na hangin at madilim na kapaligiran. Ang naririnig ko lang ay mga huni ng mga tulog na hayop, or some sort of creatures.

Anong gagawin nila rito?

Huminto muna ako saglit ng bigla nalang may kung anong liwanag ang nakita ko sa gilid. Mukhang doon ang daan palabas dito ah.

I didnt hesitate and went there. But suddenly nanlaki ang mga mata ko when i saw...a massive action.

Nakita ko ang tatlo na kina kalaban ang mga soul eaters that made me be amazed by them. Its not actually the way out nasa gitna ito at may liwanag na nanggagaling sa sinag ng buwan. Gabi narin kasi.

"WHY ARE YOU AT PENN SQUARE?!" Karen yelled at these creatures as she execute them using her blazing fire.

"Grrrrr." They growled that made her annoyed.

Nabaling naman ang tingin ko on dane na ginagamit ang water element nito that made the eaters be scared of him. Ayaw na ayaw kasi nila sa tubig dahil parang napapaso ang mga ito kaya't ito ang naging panlaban nila sa halos isang daang mga soul eaters.

Then ace caught my eye, he isnt using any ability nor elemental talagang ang espada lang nitong kulay dark purple ang gamit nito. He looks so cool. Although demonyo yan.

"Grrr."

Agad na nanlaki ang mga mata ko when a hand covered my mouth that made me scream in fear.

"AHHHHHH" i yelled whimpering that somehow made the three look at us.

"Winter?!" Karen and dane looked at me in disbelief while the poker Face king rolled his eyes at me.

But...

I had no more time to react on it when i felt my body slowly giving in..what did that stupid creature did to me?
