Chapter 42: The Princess

WINTER

I used the sword right infront of me and slashed the remaining goblins infront of me. Dont worry, they werent real goblins they were projected by the training room.

I could feel them coming closer so i fasten my pace and stabbed them in a row.

Tiningnan ko ang tatlong goblins na nasaksak ko. Unti unti rin silang naglaho kaya't napahinga ako ng malalim at napahiga sa sahig while my tears started forming up onto my eyes.

I felt betrayed.. or was i been betrayed.

Ni hindi ko manlang napansin na lahat ng taong narito sa buhay ko ngayon..ay hindi dapat narito. They wanna play with me..they wanna ruin my life.

I sighed.

Then the system started talking that made me frown.

"Winter frostlyn, Minister Pete Requested for you. He wants your presence at the palace."

Napabuntong hininga ako at hinagis ang hawak hawak kong espada sa gilid tsaka tumayo at lumabas ng training room.

I wore my black cloak then went out of the Academy.

The sun is setting.

I ran through the Woods and went to the main Palace of the witch world.

I couldnt even think straight. I Dont know how to feel, i dont know wether to be happy? Why would i be happy by the way?

Without realising it i found myself at the garden of the home i was once in. Where all my doubts started to came.

Nakita ko ang lalaking hinahanap ko. He is standing right infront of me.

"Let's wait for your—"

"Who's this?" Hinagis ko sa kaniya ang litrato na hawak hawak ko na kinagulat nito.

But he was stunned the moment he got to see the photo i gaved him.

"S-saan mo nakuha toh?"

"Is she my mother?" Diretsong tanong ko rito. He looked at me then started approaching me.

"Winter..—"

"Is she my Mother?"

Napahinga ito ng malalim. He seems like he knows it all, mukhang alam niya ang lahat. He knows it well.

"16 years ago, your mother came to drop you off. Me and my brother agreed to her plans, Cause your Mother has been great friends with your fath—"

"He's not my father."

"But at that time, i didnt knew you were her daughter. She planned to assasinate you, to murder you. Sinong ina ang makakagawa nun?"

My tears started forming up by his words. So..nandito ako para doon?

She gave me to these people's just to murder me?

"By letting you live a normal life here, then we will sent you to Strega. There she would handle you herself—"

"So you will kill me?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko dito.

Im full of disbelief by now. It's all coming up together, on why that king never treated me as his own. On why all these times shadows have been following me..

He pauses then looked at me.

Hindi ko napigilan ang sarili ko at yinakap ang lalaking nasa harapan ko. I never noticed it before..his efforts, and on how he really stood by my side these time.

Tumango ako rito at pinunasan ang mga luha ko. Sakto namang natanaw naming dalawa ang hari na papalapit sa amin. I gathered all of my courage and strength, tonight. This Young women..will be free.

"Winter, Welcome back" he smiled that made me disgust him more.

He kept me for all these years..but he has the intention to kill me. And the kinds of him disgust me.

"I called you here today because i want you to finnally take the—"

"No." I cut him off that made him raise a brow at me.

He must be shock that his lil Princess is finnally speaking up to him.

I gave him a deadly stare then sighed.

"That just proves that you never knew what your child wants."

"A Princess wants attention, the crown, wealth and the kingdom. And i bet that's what you want too, winter." Mariin nitong sabi tsaka ko nginitian. How fake could he be?

"I dont wanna be a princess of a kingdom that's already losing It's reign."

"Is that so?" He raised a brow at me as he smirks.

"What i want is peace and united worlds."

Ng marinig nito ang sinabi ko ay agad itong napatawa na kinakunot ng noo ko. He really is foolish.

" i think i heard that line before. Are you imitating the great Raina Khione?" Pagmamaktol nito. He really is taking me as a joke.

"It aint working dear." He chuckled that made me boil in anger.

"Narinig mo yun Pete? Kung ano ano kasing tinuturo mo sa pamangkin mo" he laughed like a maniac.

He's a pig. Who is this man? He is finnally showing he's true colors after all this years.

"I want peace and united worlds." I repeated that made him stop laughing.

"If that isnt clear enough, i wont repeat it. Specially infront of a man who only thinks about himself and his wealth that didnt even helped him rise up at the society."

"Your disrespectful! After all this years that i fed you up!" He yelled at me trying to control his anger.

"Oh, you only fed your foolishness. Mark my words.."
