hana's pov:

a/n: italics means thoughts

my hands shook my phone around on my lap. i was waiting for the call. the call that basically dictated the rest of my future. i wanted to be a performer ever since i could remember. i wasn't one of those girls who only wanted to be in a company just to be by kpop groups, but because i wanted to fufill a dream i've always wanted. despite being an nctzen for three years, i have yet to see them in person.

"sit down! don't get up don't stand up, please don't put your hands up and don't make me tell you again, sit down!". my phone was ringing. i was so scared to pick it up that i just sat on my couch staring at it. after a couple seconds i picked up the phone from my lap & quietly answered.

"hello? this is hana speaking"

"hi im a scout from SM entertainment & we've looked over your resume and decided to accept you as a trainee." the lady on the other end spoke. my eyes started welling up with happy tears.

"oh my gosh, thank you so much. when do you want me to come?"

"asap, we need to get you to start practicing so we can finalize the new girl group for SM."
and with that, the lady and i spoke for another five minutes discussing the details of how things will go down. then the lady on the other end had to leave so she ended the call. i sat on my living room couch still in complete shock that my dream was coming true.

with my emotions running wild, i decided before i head to SM the following day, that i would notify my parents that i won't sign up for university and instead follow my long-time dream. thankfully after some convincing they accepted how the cards have been dealt and promised to support me.

after being productive the entire day, i fell fast asleep after packing my belongings for about two hours.

a/n: what do you think? is my writing style bad? im sorry if its horrible, i'll try to improve 🥺

- this is my first story, so the plot may be a bit iffy and all over the place, sorry!
