[ earlier that day... ]

"hey hana, sooman called me to let you know, you need to drop by his office." her manger said as the girls watched her quietly pack her clothes for the day. she nodded silently and sent a small smile to her manager and the girls that were staring back at her, already knowing why she was so quiet. they all had woken up to hana's name all over every news outlet, even hitting the US news, due to how popular both people were in the k-pop industry. hana woke up a couple minutes before everyone else, to see mark was still sleeping, most likely exhausted with their schedules not lining up well lately considering he's in superm as well as nct. right before leaving her shared room with mark, she heard her phone vibrate from behind her. her phone showed with someone's contact name flashing on the screen: lee felix :P

"girls, i'll meet you in the kitchen. can you prepare my water bottle please? i'll take this phone call quickly." hana whispered while glancing at the girls giving her small smiles and nodding in agreement before giving hana some privacy. she walked out of her room and stayed in the hallway as she quietly slid her finger across the screen before bringing the phone up to her ear.

"hello?"

"hi hana, how are you holding up?"

"hi felix, i'm doing okay, you?"

"me as well. i just wanted to check up on you because as we know, the rumor is wrong, but everyone else doesn't know that."

"mhmm"

"i'll talk to my management and have them release a statement on behalf of me and you."

"thanks felix, i'll do the same. i have a meeting with sooman later today. also, we're still childhood friends! you better not let this change anything haha"

"of course hana, we should go out for a meal sometime soon, catch up. think of it as a apology meal. everyone is blowing this out of proportion."

"right? girls and guys can be friends, but seems to me, everyone thinks we're dating."

"i mean who wouldn't like me?"

"oh whatever, if anything you should be grateful my name is even next to yours felix!"

"okay okay you're right little ms. nct"

"but yes, i'll take up on that offer sometime soon felix! you should bring your members! i'll bring mine too."

"well, if we do that, i might have to rent out the entire restaurant"

"hahaha you right. if anything i'll help pay. you always treated me in high school."

"i just wanted to help you since you were working so hard to get to where you are now."

"yeah, i appreciate it until this day. thanks felix."

"anyway, i gotta go, just text me if you need anything, okay hana?"

"yes, same to you felix. bye bye!"

the call ended as hana felt her mood lifted after her call with felix. he always was amazing at helping her calm down, it reminded her of their small high school memories, laughing, working on projects late at night, making dance covers, sleepovers. there came a point in high school when hana noticed they both had a fallout around senior year. not only because they both signed up to be trainees at different companies, but because senior year became hectic. hana remembered the nights she began to think she had feelings for felix, but over time it fizzled out, and he became more of a bigger brother figure, especially since he debuted first. as she headed on with her day, trying to remain positive for the rest of the day, she thought about mark for a split second. entering the building and going on the idol floor with all the practice rooms, she noticed on one of the reserved rooms was for superm.

"ah they must be practicing a new comeback today." she said to herself before catching up with the girls to head to their practice room.

"hey girls, i know you all saw the articles today, but let's try to give it our all today. hana know that it isn't your fault, and we're here for you okay? don't worry, things will unravel. plus, in the end when they find out it was actually mark with you, they'll realize it's not a big deal." irene said after greeting our choreographer. the girls gave small affirmations to their youngest girl as she tried to push the fustrations and tears aside to focus at the task at hand.

"okay girls, now we have the set track with you guys, we only have the instrumental with a sample voice in it just as a filler to go with the beat, but you girls asked the production team to co-produce and make the lyrics right? so you guys have around two hours to think it through. i have to head back to superm while you guys work, but when i come back, we'll maybe experiment with different dance styles with the instrumental. after you guys record by the end of the week, i should be able to come up with some choreo and we'll start practicing after that. you girls also have to start releasing dates for your comeback, so make sure this is done by this week or else, we'll fall behind. after we run through choreo, don't forget your meeting with sooman, hana. are we good?" the choreographer went over logistics before handing the girls the producing team's recording on the SM laptop. the girls nodded and waved bye before getting to work and began separating sections in accordance to the girl's specialties.
