𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘆𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹 | 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗹𝗲𝗲

𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔰𝔨𝔶 𝔦𝔰 𝔠𝔩𝔢𝔞𝔯𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔲𝔭

after a month or so, it was announced that nct bg would be having their comeback soon in a few months and the drama from the past scandal had bypassed after both companies put out statements that the two are great friends and they won't tolerate false rumors. with that being said, hana and the group was in a better mental state with all the drama being gone. now let's back to the story.

"okay, we'll record the side tracks first. the boys will drop by to help." irene said to the girls as they set themselves up after talking to the recording team.

"we'll record maria last since it's your title track. let's do bet you wanna first. you girls have already ran through the lyrics we made with the instrumental right?" producer-nim commented as she clicked away at her screen seemingly quickly.

"yes, yeri go first. from there we'll go rotational, like usual." irene instructed as the younger agreed and headed in the record first. the girls quietly bopped despite the sun starting to rise for the day. they knew they had a long day ahead of them, but they did it out of their love for music.

"you girls record a lot faster than before, must be because you're more comfortable with this comeback. i'm glad to work with you all. here's the final product. let me know what you think." producer-nim said as hana came out of the recording room as she excitedly nodded along with the girls ready to hear their hard work.

"i think you girls harmonized pretty good when it came to the chorus." a male voice said as everyone glanced nervously turned to the entrance just to see the haechan and the dreamies walking in slowly.

"hi boys, i haven't seen you little ones in so long!" yeri said before hugging jaemin and jisung as they were the closest to her. hana quickly scanned around the room to see renjun at the end before grabbing him and giving him a hug feeling grateful.

"thank you. i know you made that post because of the article. thank you, it meant a lot renjunnie" the younger girl snuggled in his chest comfortably despite his smaller male frame.

"no problem, i didn't want you to wake up to just see negativity." renjun quietly said unaware of the rest of the people in the room quietly watching them.

"well, i guess i owe you, want to maybe go out and eat hotpot?" hana suggested unaware of how cute she looked with her leisure look: a sports bra with her black windbreaker hanging by her elbows, and light washed jeans. little did she know, everyone preciously looked at their youngest, only hoping for the best for her.

"hey hana! you can't just offer it to renjun-hyung." chenle teased as the other boys nodded and smiled at the bright boy's joking manner.

"well renjun oppa did something for me, did you chenle oppa?" hana teased giving him a pouty lip knowing she was somewhat everyone's weakness.

"i'll never get over the fact that hana is younger than jisung and chenle, when i hear her say oppa to them, it's so unusual." soyeon commented as the 00 liners listened glancing at the younger girl teasing her two oppas: chenle & jisung as they made fun of her diminutive height.

"well, we have to record the beginning half of our other side track, right producer-nim?" yeri questioned while checking the time on the clock as it read, 10:55 pm.

"yeah, if we start now, we should be able to get some parts down, we'll do pretty savage next." producer-nim said as she continued to click away and drag things around her computer monitor.

"you guys should go ahead to the dorms first." irene said trying to shoo the boys away so they could get rest.

"you girls can't walk by yourselves. we'll stay. go go" jaemin pushingly said despite irene being older and told the boys to sit on the couches at the back of the recording studio.

"hana, come here! stop messing with jisung and chenle, you open up pretty savage right?" yeri said getting serious knowing they had to work or else they'll get home really late, which was expected.

"mhmm. my only issue is the song occasionally has swear words, was that intentional?" hana said grabbing her lyric book flipping through the pages.

"yeah, if you don't want to, i can change it." producer-nim said as the younger girl soon felt bad for saying something so late down the road.

"actually no it's fine, it adds flavor. i'll go ahead." hana said before giving a light smile and heading in the booth.

"i'll play the sample and you'll go right after it, sounds good hana?" producer-nim said.

"yes sounds good, let's go" she said excitedly before giggling and focusing again.

after a couple hours, the boys tiredly encouraged the girls to keep going despite their own tired states. the girls appreciated it, occasionally taking breaks to give them some of the comfort items they bring whenever they record: snacks, blankets, drinks.

"okay, here is the final product, we still have to probably retake some parts tomorrow, and add some adlibs. as i thought, you girls record fast so i'm not surprised we finished two side tracks. give it a listen and hold your comments and ideas until tomorrow, it's already 4 am. i'll have your manager move your meetings later in the evening." producer-nim as the girls sat with boys excitedly ready to not just listen but head home.

"it sounds better than i thought, the swearing fits in with the vibe of the song." hana admittingly said before thanking everyone and heading out with the dreamies. thankfully the boys live in the same building but the girls had to take the long route to make sure they wouldn't be caught going in the male end of the dorms. soon the girls got home and they quickly headed to their rooms and knocked out from the tired day.

"i'm so glad you're home mark, i missed you so much. the only time i get to see you is when i'm dead exhausted or when you are. i'm sorry for not supporting you as much as usual, my comeback has been so prob-" hana rambled as she changed her clothes in the dark knowing that mark wouldn't look at her out of respect.

"it's fine, i'm sorry too. superm and nct 2020 plans got be tired and nct 127 possibly doing a japanese album too. this year is hectic, but know that i'll always make time. i'll do my best. now let's try to get some sleep, it gets tiring waiting for you to come home." mark admitted lifting the blanket so the girl could go to sleep as his arms enveloped around her like usual, trying to enjoy the little time they had together, even if they weren't doing anything.
