"hana wake up." mark said slightly pushing hair out of the young girl's face. stirring up from the warm touch of his hand, she lifted her head to notice she was in the parking lot of the SM building.

"oh sorry mark, why am i here? i thought my schedule was free?" hana said taking off her seatbelt and adjusting her posture and clothing.

"manager-nim texted me when i was driving, after you dozed off and asked me to bring you here. i believe you girls have planning meetings with the staff?" mark questioned as he tried to recall why the girl had to go. hana nodded as she readied herself to head out.

"thanks mark, i'll go ahead. see you at home." the girl said as she gave a small smile, slung her crossover purse back on and stepped out of the car.

"see you, let me know if you need anything." mark said giving her a small thumbs up and a smile, while dashingly keeping his other arm on the steering wheel, giving off almost boyfriend vibes as hana smiled unknowingly because of mark's caring presence.

"okay bye bye, get back safely!" she said at last closing the door lightly and waving bye before heading into to the building from the side entrance.

"ah hana, great you're here. i have three finalized instrumentals that may fit your taste, sit down and i'll play it for you girls right away!" the producing rep said as she pointed to the empty space on the leather couch across the recording desk with the three girls patiently waving and saying hi to the younger girl. hana quickly sat as she quietly greeted the girls, feeling a rush of energy come through knowing they were making progress with the album.

"here's the first one, if you don't want it for your title track, i could see it working for a side track idea i have in mind for you girls." the rep said before pressing play.

"i really like this! before we make the decision on whether it'll be side or title, let's hear the others." irene said prompting the girls to wait and see if they like any of the other samples.

"okay, here's the second one." she said before clicking a few buttons and pressing play right after.

"this one would be nice back-up vocals for the beginning and the pre-chorus. if we use this, the rappers could take the lead for chorus since it has the r&b and latin mix to it towards the middle." yeri said thinking about how it may sound with lyrics bustling in her mind.

"you're right, i was thinking similar too, we're ready to hear the next one." hana mentioned.

"this definitely is a livelier vibe and beat, a little different from the r&b vibes, but i think you girls could come out with a good song with this." the producing rep said as it played.

"it is different, but i like it! could be a new change for us from the dark vibes haha." soyeon joked as the girls grinned knowing that we was trying to poke fun at.. their debut vibes was very strong.

"well, do you have anything that is a bit livelier, but still goes with something we could do?" irene spoke.

"we do have this old track that never went to red velvet, it might work with you, let me find it." the producer said clicking away for a couple seconds trying to find the track.

"ah here, take a listen." she said.

a/n: let's just imagine this was a red velv song reject! i'm not saying the song is a reject! i love it, it's just for the storyline. no hate towards g-idle.

"oh i really like this! i wonder why red velvet would not use this track?" hana questioned thinking it decently fit with their cutely themes.

"well, they wanted to go with a different concept which led to them doing monster with irene and seulgi so this just stayed behind." she explained as the girls nodded.

"well, we'll discuss at home on the one we want as our title track and we'll build our theme upon that. for example, we might like the last one which will fall in the theme of lively, quicker pace, and with fun and exciting vibes, so on and so forth." irene said as the girls nodded in acknowledgement.

"sounds good, we'll be meeting soon anyway, so i'll build more tracks that fit with each so that we have a direction and can start creating lyrics. we're a bit in a no rush period for you guys because we want to make sure you have a good first comeback." she reasoned not wanting to stress the girls out but reminding them that they need to go at a decent pace of improvement at each meeting.

"in all honesty, i prefer the first track, i mean just think about it, it's not far from our debut vibes and i think we do really good with it not gonna lie." yeri said at the dining table while reaching for some more soup. the boys quietly listened after previously asking about the tracks they heard.

"i agree, but i mean we have everything, fire vocals, fire raps, so we will do amazing no matter the track, but yeah, i agree with yeri." hana savagely said at the table as everyone looked at the youngest with shock written on their faces.

"why are you all looking at me like that? isn't it true? we're a part of nct for a reason." hana said before grabbing some food and resuming her eating. yuta jokingly nudged her shoulder before giving her a smirk.

"wow, ms. hana is confident. where did this come from?" yuta joked before tossing back the hair in front of his eyes.

"i've always had confidence, you've probably just not always seen it mr. yuta." hana bit back before sticking her tongue out at him before drinking some water. little did she notice mark's lingering eyes on her while she comfortably and casually talked to yuta for a bit more.

"so are we all in favor for the first track?" irene asked as the three other girls nodded and the leader finally came to the conclusion.

"that's great we all agree because i've already thought of some lyrics. yeri and soyeon make sure to brainstorm too. i'm sure we can have a lot of backing vocals in the back to enhance it since the beat is somewhat simple, so we can build upon it. hana, you gotta help me with lyrics like usual." irene instructed the girls as they quietly nodded and were glad they got the serious stuff out of the way while doing a small vlive for twenty minutes into eating and enjoying the rest of their night all together, as one big family.
