"nct bg on standby, enter the stage when the light blacks out. get into position for the nct u stages with the boys. after that, it'll transition to your girl's stage." the director said as the girls waited on the side as the nct 127 finished up their last song, punch. the girls stood quietly trying to prepare themselves for the lights, movements, change of stages, everything they've been preparing for. especially hana, she ran through every movement in her head until the last second, when the signal light turned on. the girls gave each other a smile of hope and went on the dark stage. standing in position, the boys began to transition to where the girls were.

a/n: imagine this is the duet they all do.

when they got to the ending pose, the cameraman panned the camera to focus the ending on mark and hana. when the lights dimmed, the boys were just about to leave the stage so the girls could perform their song. they had some time to take a minute break while wayv did a dance break with the nct dreamies. the cameras turned to the opposite side of the studio as the girls ran to the front to drink some water while they had a break. right before the boys left, hana felt a presence behind her, and suddenly heard mark shuffle closer to her.

"잘 했어" mark said quickly as he got off the stage considering the girls were getting back into position. hana had the biggest smile on her face knowing that mark was proud of her performance.

a/n: imagine they're wearing the outfit shown in previous chapters.

the girls performed their debut song first. panting as they transitioned to their second song which was a cover. the girls huddled into their starting position. right before the music started, the girls felt tapping and turned the the direction where they felt it from. "don't forget we're doing this cover to prove to everyone, we can dance and still stay stable" irene softly said before the girls all nodded in agreement.

"time to prove to everyone there's a reason we were chosen for the only nct girl unit" hana said to herself getting prepped for the long performance ahead of her.

then the staff changed the scene to a slower scene. the girls each sitting on blocks and holding a mic. hana felt especially nervous for this song cover, because she's a rapper and not a vocalist. the girls felt excited to perform a song in full english to reach out to a international level of attention. and with that the lights dimmed and the spotlight was once again on the girls.

"that last song took so long to practice, english is so hard to pronounce!" yeri said relieved that their performance was done.

"at least, it'll connect with more people. it shows our capabilities as a group." irene said as she sat down and gulped down a whole water bottle.
