hana quickly set her phone down unaware of the deeps words she never really said to mark. and yet mark was at a lost for words, but with his attention reverting back to his task that he had at hand, he quickly let it slide his mind after typing a reply, and continuing his day as she did.

mark: i love you too, stay safe hana. see u tonight

~

"hana come quick!!" irene said hurriedly as the girls were back home after prepping the finishing touches in their songs and choreo for their comeback.

"wait unni! im still drying my hair! what do you need?" hana yelled across the dorm. after continuing to apply products on her hair she waited for a response, ending up with just silence, the girl irritatedly got up knowing she had to go to where irene was. noticing the girls huddled quietly around the kitchen isle.

"what are you guys looking at?" hana innocently said as she walked over to the fridge to grab a cold bottle of water and quietly walking to the girls.

"mark confessed to you and you weren't planning to tell us?" soyeon yelled out as the girls pouted noticing the younger girl's eyes widen.

"what do you mean? when did he confe-" hana started speaking confused unaware of the news the girls noticed on her phone.

"have you not looked at your phone yet?" yeri asked slightly shocked as the girls' eyes did the same as hana previously did.

"no not really, not after our break why?" hana said sitting on the high stool nonchalantly.

"look" irene said, grabbing the phone from soyeon's hand to hana. the younger nodded as she turned her screen on to see a message from mark that she didn't ever expect, nor where it came from. her eyes read it over and over quietly completely confused why he said the big three words: i love you.

"oh my gosh, i know why he responded like that" hana realized and gasped as she stared at the girls excitedly waiting to hear all the tea.

"why?" yeri questioned as she poured some almonds out for the girls to eat.

"when we were on our break, mark and i was texting, and i guess when break ended, i was rushing to end the conversation nicely and i said i love you and said bye." hana said completely nonchalantly as she opened her messages and showed the girls. gasps filled the silence in the room.

"why are you so calm about it though? is everything okay?" irene asked noticing the quiet girl suddenly in front of her as she seemed like she was daydreaming.

"well, i'm just worried i made things awkward. what if he just said it back to not make me feel uncomfortable? what if he did it out of pity?" hana asked as she continued to fill her stomach with almonds and water. unaware of the smirks on the girls faces.

"you're just overthinking, i'm pretty sure he meant it hana. anyway, you can clear it up with him later tonight." yeri suggested giving the girl a big smile before handing her phone back to hana. the youngest silently nodded as they got back to their regular routine of making dinner for everyone.

"we're home!" haechan yelled opening the dorm room to see the four girls giggling in the kitchen as they teased hana about mark and her's somewhat confession. the boys walked in quietly as the girls were so immersed in their conversation while they also was blasting music. the boys tiredly put their things down in as they sat at the table and waited for the girls to finish their moment. none of them felt the need to tell them they were home because this always happened. the girls singed along with the music, while laughing and messily cooking multiple dishes at once.

"the chorus is coming!!" soyeon squealed knowing this was their favorite part in txt's song blue hour that was playing on the speaker.

"cause it's you! you're the one that i want!!" hana sang as the girls did the choreo alongside with her singing, laughing, and enjoying one another's presence.

"isn't this their new record?" yuta said as the boys sipped on their water as they watched the girls completely neglect their presence, not on purpose.

"i swear it's entertaining, it's like watching a movie." taeil proudly said like a fatherly figure as he enjoyed the fact the girls were having fun.

"yah! we've been here for five minutes, are you not gonna acknowledge us?" jungwoo jokingly yelled as the girls jumped out of shock and fear as they all turned around to see the boys sitting and staring right at them.

"h-how long have you guys been there?" yeri said pointing to all the boys, noticing the girls were hurriedly putting food on serving plates for the boys and helping them right after questioning.

"maybe five minutes?" jaehyun said taking a look at the wall clock as the boys nodded along.

"well, anyway, the food is ready." hana interjected giving the boys all a gentle smile, unaware of the fact that, the boys read hana's text while mark was on his phone and crafting a reply. they couldn't wait to fluster the two.

~

"yuta, can you pass me a napkin please?" hana said from his right as he nodded and leaned foward to wipe the side of her mouth.

"o-oh i could've done it myself yuta, thanks though" hana mentioned right after and showing him a finger heart in appreciation for his kind gesture.

"it's fine, just eat up" yuta responded as he put a piece of meat on her plate. hana noticed that the piece would be too big for her to just bite, so as she reached foward of the knife, she felt a pair of hands reach over for it first and cut the piece of meat for her. she turned to her left to see mark intently cutting the meat on her plate as she smiled to herself.

"thank you mark" hana whispered since mark was closer to her because he was cutting her food for her to eat.

"no problem, also hana?" mark replied as they were both immersed in their own conversation, oblivious to everyone that was watching them before going back to eat, as they couldn't help but quietly listen iut of curiousity and give one another looks.

"mhmm" hana hummed acknowledging she was listening intently.

"i love you" mark said looking to her eyes looking for a reply.

"i love you too" hana smiled as she was happy to get the reassurance she needed. and with that being said, hana went back to her usual position with her one of her legs over his as she went back to comfortably eating, while everyone else had smiles plastered on their faces for the rest of the day, being proud of the two finally realizing one another's feelings for each other. it for sure has been a long journey for everyone, but hana knew that mark would be there every step of the way, and she couldn't be happier.

the end.

thank you so much for reading!! i kinda struggled to find a proper ending, but i hope this is adequate!! i might make a sequel, but i have a lot of other story ideas that i want to pursue, so we'll see!! i hope u enjoyed <3 thank you so much for all of your endless support and patience as i had a very inconsistent posting schedule, and probably cliche storyline, but all in all, i promise to make better books as i grow as a writer and a person :)
