Chapter 24: The 5th Authorization District

"What is the Citizenship level thingy?", tanong ni Colt kay Tyler habang patuloy ang paglantak sa cinnamon roll. We're currently in the cafeteria and it has been a day nang matapos namin ang isang araw na paglilibot sa apat sa limang Authorization District ng Academy-City.

"Yeah, I'm utterly curious about that thing too." dagdag pa ni Tyke sa sinabi ni Colt.

"Do you know something Tyler?" I asked him. 

"Oh what I know, the citizens of this academy-city is divided into five different classes, and everything from districts, you can enter to what you can live. Narinig ko rin na nakadepende rin sa class mo ang pag-aasawa at sa magiging anak mo." pagpapaliwanag ni Tyler.

"Bakit naman nila gagawin yon?" I asked.

"I don't know. But one thing is certain, magicians and non-magicians pretty much discriminate against each other here." sabi pa ni Tyler sa amin.

"I don't think non-magicians discriminate magicians here. Nakita nyo naman siguro kung paano nila tayo itrato diba." I said. Na agad namang sinangayunan ng tatlo.

"So it turns out like, magicians discriminate non-magicians. And when I asked a faculty on visiting the 5th Level Authorization District, they told me that we can't go there unless we finish studying here in the academy, so it's pretty much, impossible for us three because we're just exchange students here. Sa tingin ko wala nang isang buwan at kalahati ang itatagal namin dito. " Tyke said. Wala namang nakaimik dahil sa sinabi niya. We were all in the midst of thinking nang biglang umimik si Tyler.

"How about we infiltrate the 5th District?" bulong na sabi niya sa amin. Nagkatinginan si Tyke at Colt at sinundan nilang tingnan ay ako. It's like they're asking for my approval.

"If we're going to infiltrate it, we better stock up on information. Let's ditch our afternoon classes and then infiltrate it at night. " sabi ko na agad namang ikinatuwa ng tatlo. Napabuntong hininga na lang ako. 

Agad naming tinapos ang pagkain, at nagmamadaling nagpunta sa library sa likod ng building na kinaroroonan ng cafeteria. Dapat na makapunta kami don habang lunch time pa upang walang magsuspetsa sa amin. This is my first time ditching classes after all. 

When we reached the school library, agad kaming pumuwesto sa pinakadulong upuan. Naiwan si Tyke at Tyler doon habang kami naman ni Colt ay nilibot ang mga shelf na naglalaman ng mga inpormasyon patungkol sa school. As much as possible ay iniiwasan namin na humingi ng tulong sa librarian dahil mas iinit kami sa mata nito at ng ibang estudyanteng nandoon. It took almost thirty minutes bago kami naging matagumpay na makatagpo ng isang libro patungkol sa academy. Kambala: The Academy-City.

"We found one." sabi ni Colt nang makabalik kami sa puwesto namin. Nagthumbs up naman sa amin si Tyke. Agad naming binuksan ang aklat.

"Here, its the 5 Classification of Citizens." wika ni Colt.

"1st Level, Academy director, and faculty members or all intermediate magicians. 2nd Level, students, and lower magicians. 3rd Level, citizens who has a magician relative, the army of the city and civil servants. 4th Level, the citizens of this Academy-City. The 5th... Wala dito ang panglima. But it says here that they are the citizens who are unable to pay their taxes." pagbabasa ni Colt sa nakalagay sa libro. 

"Ano pa ang nandyan?" tanong ni Tyke.

"There are 50,000 residents in the 5th District samantalang 5,000 naman sa apat na iba pa." dagdag pa ni Colt.
