first comp

today is my first competition since I hurt my knee and I'm SUPER excited, I missed being on the floor 

all my friends are currently at my house getting ready, usually this is one of my favorite parts of competition day but it is 7 o'clock in the morning on Saturday and I'm dying 

s:" hail, do you know where I put my scrunchie "

a/n: hail is what Skylar and her friends call their friend hailey 

h:" you mean the one on your wrist "

I look down at my wrist and sure enough, there it is 

s:" yeah I'm losing it "

she laughed and my phone goes off with a text from Austin 

text: do you want me to bring you a smoothie? 

reply: thanks for the offer but you don't have to 

I started to straighten my hair so I can curl the ends 

* skip 10 minutes *

m:" Skylar, Austin and his friends are here "

s:" ok can you please send them up "

they came up and Austin kissed my cheek 

all the girls:" awww "

a:" hey baby, I brought you your favorite smoothie "

s:" thanks, you didn't have to "

a:" I wanted to "

s:" girls this is Alex, Zach and Robert, boys this is Maddie, Hailey, Tess and Abigail " 

we all talk while we were getting ready 

a:" how many teams are going to be there "

s:" atleast 150 "

Alex:" that must mean there will be a lot of people there, how are you not nervous "

h:" we've been doing this for ten years so we don't really get nervous anymore plus, we visualize hitting "

z:" what does it mean to hit "

s:" it means that nothing went wrong in our routine, no stunts fell, no one didn't complete a skill, the routine was perfect, you hit your routine "

they nod 

I already did my eyebrows, put on primer and finish my eyeshadow ( grey smokey eye) 

s:" nobody talk to me, I need to apply my false eyelashes "

after struggling with my lashes for 5 minutes I finally got them on 

s:" I hate doing that so much, I swear I could be in the best mood from a eyeshadow look and put lashes on and instantly be angry "

m:" same here " 

I then put on foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, blush, a lot of highlighter then I set my face with setting spray and apply some matte red lipstick 

s:" I'm gonna go change into my uniform "

( uniform is in the video of the routine) 

I come back in my room with my uniform on 

a:" those uniforms are so cool "

s:" yeah, the whole team loves them "

I then curl my hair and put it in a ponytail with my scrunchie 

s:" mom can you please come put hairspray in my hair "

she starts to spray my hair and I start to cough 

s:" I swear that stuff is toxic "

mom:" it may be but your curls will not budge "

after me and the girls finished getting ready we drove to the competition, after a few hours we warmed up and did our routine 

a/n: Skylar is one of the girls in the front when their in the 'w'  formation being lifted up and her friends are lifting her 

a:" baby you guys did so good, did you hit "

s:" yeah we did " 

we're really out of breath from doing our routine 

z:" are you guys ok, your breathing really fast "

s:" yeah, we'll be fine in like five minutes "

* time skip to the awards after every team competes on day two *

announcer:" and in first place in the open level 5 division, cheersport great white sharks "

after celebrating our win, Austin took me home 

a:" baby you guys did so good on both days, I'm so proud of you "

s:" thanks "

a:" I'm definitely coming to as many competitions as I can, I love seeing how happy you are on the floor "

s:" you also make me that happy "

he chuckles 

a:" I love you baby " 

s:" I love you to " 

he kissed me goodnight, left and then I went to bed
