Even when we're washed away, we return together
My wish is to be
The captain of the boat we're floating on.
Music is a sea,
Even when people turn away, we aren't lonely.
As long as I stay with my heart,
I can rely on a broken compass
Mixtape #4 (Broken Compass)• Stray Kids
☆☆☆Jisung's grip never left her hand for the rest of the class. He wrote with his other hand, Heiryung being forced to bring their interlocked hands on top of the desk to right.
Sending a glare to the boy who only smiled at the sight and loosened his hand to allow her to fit a pen in before tightening his grip once again.
Whispers echoed.
"Oh my god look their hands!"
"Ew such a slut if she got with Jisung, they're so young."
"Wow impressive if she managed to break through to Jisung."
Jisung squeezed her hand.
He didn't know why, but he felt comfortable with her. He felt the need to show her she could trust him. He felt the need to be there and show others who she really was. He didn't even. Know who she really was.
She squeezed back.
Heiryung didn't know why she just felt the need to. She felt the need to show Jisung that she cared. She was done shutting him out.
"Ignore them."
"It's what I do best."
"Yes I know. Speaking from experience."
"Hardy har har."
She bit her lip as she saw Jisung scrunch up his nose and close his eyes before shaking his head.
The bell rung and Heiryung let go of Jisung's hand.
The boy scowled at the now cold sensation as he threw his bag over his shoulder and waited for Heiryung to gather her belongings.
"Ms. Heiryung Lee," her history teacher said, "mind staying a bit?"
Heiryung's smile was wiped off her face as she glanced at Jisung.
"I'll see you later, don't wait for me."
Jisung nodded and headed out of the room.
"Yes Miss," Heiryung said as she neared the front.
"The school was informed of your... situation," she said as she sat down in her chair. "I couldn't fathom this for anyone but we suggest you maybe try joining an activity or an extra curricular class. We think it may help you find an interest and distract your mind. We also want you to meet with the guidance counselor once a week during your lunch mod."
Heiryung stood shell shocked.
"Wait so I've just come out of the ICU and you want to add more stress on my schedule," she said.
She never liked her history teacher.
"And not just add that stress but force me to go see a counselor when I'm clearly not ready," Heiryung continued.
Her teacher just simply nodded.
"You can go after school to pick a course," she said, "I understand you may not want to talk about your past home life, and I honestly wouldn't advise talking in depth about it to a counselor. Talk about it to a therapist. If your not ready that's fine, just go and see if you can just feel more comfortable with other people and we can see what happens."
With this the teacher dismissed Heiryung to her next class with a pass.

I actually sometimes hate teachers that force you into something cause they think it's 'good' for you. Bitch you barely know me, how do you know what's good for me?!
