Now I know it's not you
But me that I'll love a little more
I'll survive and live on
I'll inch just a bit closer
So I can embrace myself a little more
Give myself a little more

Heiryung was laughing in the back seat after the two sped away to go to Johnny's apartment.

"Look I've done it before," he shrugged as his hand rested on the gear shift. "Except he wasn't alone as I did stop to let him in."

"Johnny what the hell," Heiryung giggled before feeling guilt settle in the pit of her stomach.

She remembered how it felt to be left alone by her mom and brother with her abusive dad. Even though she had her dad, she'd willingly be by herself, she practically was.

"Maybe we should... go back," she said as Johnny looked into the review mirror in concern.

"Nah he's fine," he said, "he knows his way around anyways."

"That's not why..." Heiryung stopped talking and looked down.

She didn't need Johnny thinking she was a nut case.

"Sorry," she whispered as Johnny looked in the rearview mirror again.

"You shouldn't be," he said, "your just a generally good person."

Heiryung looked down at her hands as Johnny pulled into the parking garage of his apartment complex. Getting out he opened the trunk first and helping Heiryung out. He once again kept his hand on her back despite her protests of being fine.

She was done being an inconvenience.

She slapped his hand away and glared at the ground, Johnny finally getting the hint and just following slowly behind her.

Heiryung wanted out of this cycle.

She wanted to stop being an inconvenience but the moment Johnny took away his hand she immediately felt guilty. Why? She felt as if she had done something wrong. She didn't want to come across as bitchy, but Heiryung was sure she just had.

Heiryung hated her sudden bursts of anger, but the steep downhill recession from that anger that made her want to help and apologize to Johnny didn't help.

She felt as if everything she did was wrong, everything she did was a mistake. But why? Was she so emotionally messed up as well that she couldn't even handle her inside feelings and how she reacted?

She walked into the elevator with Johnny, the dim lights illuminating the dull metal box.

Standing there she stared at the numbers on the screen, each going up to the next red dashed number. Johnny stood on his phone.

Heiryung began to zone out, looking at the bruise on her arm.

"Heiryung," the boy across from her said pointing to her knee in curiosity. "Where'd you get all those bruises?"

The freshman girl looked up at her junior mentor who had now grabbed her arm and pushed her sleeve back.

"Is someone hurting you," Yangyang asked as he looked into the girl's eyes.

"No, not at all," Heiryung said tearing her arm away and rolling her sleeve down.

Avoiding eye contact she glanced back down at her knee that was now continuously bouncing.

"Heiryung," Johnny called, the girl being snapped out of her day dream of last year.

He had his arm across the elevator door making it stay open so she could get out, except she had been unmoving and hadn't torn her gaze away from the buttons.

"Sorry," she said faking a smile and getting out with her crutch. "Was just thinking."

Johnny raised an eyebrow before following her and placing his hand on her back, this time Heiryung only flinched, but she was too scared to move it away.

Johnny then quickly raced in front of her before putting in his key and unlocking his apartment door.

"Welcome home Heiress," he said before slamming the door open to reveal Taeyong and Ten holding a sign that said 'Welcome Home!'

Heiryung's eyes filled with tears.

A new start.

But recovery isn't done.
