Chenle awoke and saw the bed next to him completely empty. Panicking, he jumped up and raced to put his slippers on.

He raced out to the living room and saw Jaemin and Donghyuck hovering over the couch. Renjun was over in the corner painting away while Jeno was cooking breakfast. Jisung still no where to be seen.

He quickly made his way over to Jaemin and Donghyuck about to say something about Jisung's disappearance, but stopped the minute he stepped foot next to Jaemin.

There was Jisung.

His face was centimeters away from Heiryung's, his breaths making her hair flutter around her eyes. Her eyelashes were long and thick, the tips of them barely flicking across a stray hair of Jisung's. Her hand had come to a rest on Jisung's forearm, his legs tucked out to the side on the ground.

Chenle's breathing turned shallow as he saw the sight.

His heart seemed to break upon the sight, yet to him he didn't know why.

He knew this was coming. Those long glances/stared Jisung took at her during Music or lunch. How whenever he zoned out he had a smile plastered on his face, clearly talking to her.  And despite those texts he got from the lawyer updating him on his case, or the fewer texts he got from his parents, he seemed happier.

They were soulmates. They were meant to be.

Chenle has been in denial.

As he sat there staring at his two friends he realized, he still wished he was in denial. He wish that he forget this image.

Jisung had made it clear Chenle wouldn't be with Heiryung. And Chenle at first had tried to get on and stay away.

But Heiryung talked to him. She talked to him like he was the only one she could trust. She talked about her insecurities, and her life before the incident.

He recalled the time she looked at him the day she went back to school in Science. She had talked about how she had never been to an amusement park or outside of the city. After he was done listening she looked at him straight in the eyes and told him he was an angel.

If anything she was an angel.

But she wasn't his angel.

Jaemin looked at the boy with a grimace. It wasn't the best of situations, but unfortunately the boy had brought it upon himself. He had told Chenle that.

Chenle said it wasn't something he could help.

He wished it was.

Chenle stormed back to the kitchen to only grab a strawberry from the stack of just-washed fruits Jeno had cut.

"Chenle hey that was for breakfast-"

"Let me be," Chenle mumbled with chewed-up strawberry in his mouth.

Jeno looked back to Jaemin who only sighed.

Jaemin went back to the kitchen to help out Jeno while Donghyuck continued to take pictures of the two young teens.

With the flash on.

Heiryung felt the bright flash on her and opened her eyes, the tickle of her lashes brushing against Jisung's forehead waking him up as well.

She groaned as she fully opened her eyes only to be met with Jisung's face barely two centimeters away.

She pushed back as Jisung snapped his eyes opened, frantically falling away from the couch.

As Chenle watched the two his heart seemed to shatter. The pieces of it falling down his body.

He needed someone to catch the pieces before they reached his feet, but they weren't there.

When would they be there.
