First Book of the 'Fur Now' Series
Percy, a human college student, begins school in a prominent Magic University. He meets a German Shepard named, Jackson, who immediately falls head over heels for him. However, unbeknownst to one, the other, holds...
Obsidian's Perspective I was in shock. I didn't know what to do. My brother was there crying in front of millions of viewers, that's when it hit me. When did this insecurity come up!!!? I've been trying to think about him, but I never had his feelings in mind of what I did to him. I've never explained anything to him. Not why I keep my eyes closed or why I can't look at his eyes. It's my fault he believes this.

Allie had come down with her serious look and arms crossed. I just looked on at her with a pathetic face. "What are you doing!!? Are you going to just stand there, or are you going to take responsibility!!?" Her yelling was stern, but not a hint of anger was laced in her words. I couldn't hold my emotions in anymore. My tear ducts burst as I rushed towards him. "I'm so sorry!!!" I embraced him. He was stunned, not understanding. "It's all my fault!! I never thought I was hurting you." I paused after his arms wrapped around me. "If I had just looked, I could've seen this before.. I'll explain everything... with a bit more privacy." I was half chuckling by the end, and he laughed right along with me.
Jackson's Perspective After we all left from that regrettable moment in my life, Obsidian told me about his Cypher and why he wouldn't look at my eyes. There were things I didn't know, and things I never pieced together. I can't believe I cried and verbally berated my brother. Percy never let me go during our walk back to campus. I needed some time to think about what I did.
Percy's Perspective I'm really worried about Jacky. I always noticed some disdain towards Obsidian, but I thought it was more like brotherly competition. This is in another league. Luckily I'm studying to become a psychiatrist as well. Jackson doesn't know about my major, so I was able to probe him a bit.
This could've been much worse if it wasn't handled well when presented to Obsidian. I pet him all the way back to the ice cream shop we went to before.
