Last chapter of 'Furn Star'!!! 🥳 So I'm planing after the first chapter of the next book, the tone will drop quite a bit for a while. I hope you guys will continue reading. The main characters will be back in the spotlight very soon. 😋
Obsidian's Perspective From above, I noticed the destruction that last attack caused. Dang, if I hadn't absorbed that, half the city would've been erased!!! I held a white orb in my palm, and by circulating Magic, I was able to stay in the air longer, waiting for- The. Perfect. Moment! The sphere was released as a compact energy beam.
3rd POV The blinding light was dazzling. Everyone's eyes averted as if a focused nuke had made its existence known. It wasn't just their eyes, their faces had to covered up so that as little of the damaging light could enter their pupils.
As the white Magic petered out, Obsidian began to fall suddenly. Landing on his large, clawed feet, stumbling.
Obsidian's Perspective Well, dang - that was a lot. I wasn't expecting there to be so much power I had to contain. Him being the most powerful Devil isn't too far-fetched. I had almost collapsed, noticed he was still kicking. Oh, come on!!! I'd just like to rest right now!!! I made sure to keep both eyes wide open. The ominous glow from them cut deep into the 'audience'. Why don't these people ever run? And where the heck are the other High-Class!? Those thoughts were left like a straight man at a gay bar. Yes, I have seen that. A metal pike, extended. It barely grazed my cheek as I jet away from the anomaly. The spike slowly retracted to it origin in a foreboding manner.
Percy's Perspective We were at Obsidian and Ms. Jackata's house in wait. While she was out on a Demon Hunt, Jackson was jittery. A seemingly eternal smile on his face. It's nice he's doing better. My heart was filled with sympathy and warmth for him and his moment. Out of nowhere, his ears perked straight up. We were basically in an immense thunderstorm with how the house was trembling. Jacky reacted with instinctual speed. He was on top, looking down. I was trapped in my own fantasy as our eyes locked onto each other. We didn't need speech - we could tell there was a magnetic force pulling us together- That intimate connection was severed when the building shook with greater vigor. Jacky's bulky body wrapped around me in a protective yet tender way. There was no way anything would get to me without going through his body. It was a warm, pleasant feeling I wish could last forever.

I seriously need to hurry it up here. The others are getting antsy. Me and Obsidian had continued our fight. My body was now lean and tail-less. Completely made from a Magic metal that made me impervious to everything he through at me. Swords, spears, you name it, it couldn't penetrate my hide. My claws extended at the cornered, black behemoth. He reacted waay too late and almost fell prey to my talons. He had dodged them all with his body in contortions around the sharp protrusions stuck in a wall directly behind him. I retracted them, which pulled a chunk of the magically-enforced brick and him along with it. Obsidian's large body would lead you to believe he had subpar flexibility, but his movements were as sharp as I remember from back then- Back on track. 🤭 He weaved his lumbering body through my fingers and leapt up. A numerous amount of black spears appeared and rained down hell. Of course, my body could handle it, but the ground - not so much... I had to keep track of the rubble to leap back to the top. Where dark restraints were made. 'Steal Trap' isn't going to cut it here. We're basically equally matched. I need to do something less flashy... "Psyche Shift - Phase 4: Fluidity!!" My body became a viscous, murky liquid. Passing through the Magic was easy, just like taking him down. I fired a pressurized hose of my body at the spectators. He quickly got in the way and split my arm apart like a shredder. He looked to have immediately realized his predicament. The water that was sprayed everywhere, even still in the air, formed right onto his head and became hand-like. I squeezed, trying to twist his head forcefully. Daaammn!! I knew he was strong, but I can't even make him budge! Using Magic to enforce the head, neck and upper-chest is smart, but futile. He couldn't breathe as long as I kept the water up. Legs flailing violently, hands trying to grasp at something he couldn't. "Sorry, but I know your weakness... As long as you're flustered, you immediately go from 'Danger Number 1' to 'Danger to No One'.~" I had to admit, his struggling was kinda hard to watch. The fingers of the liquid hand were tightening slightly. This is it... 😬A loud 'Snap!' was heard in the area. Everything was still. No sounds came from the reporters. No more rumbling of buildings... No more Obsidian. At least that's what they were probably thinking. I could hear some animals from afar and stuff.
I checked his pulse, completely gone. "It's high time to feed." I took several steps towards the officers before the feeling kicked in. It was on another level. I fell to one knee as my whole body shook. It was hard to get back up. "I-I see. That's what h-he meant." I struggled up and walked right passed them. "You're lucky that hero of yours was so- invested in your ungrateful, and disgusting species... A portal opened up for me to pass through.
Dammit, dammit, dammit!!! The pain was intense. I felt like I was dying, I just wanted... sleep...
