Hello guys!!!! Topazshadow here!!! If you've gotten this far, then I thank you for your loyalty up 'til now. Typically I would make chapters at a faster pace than I have lately, but it is quite hard to even motivate myself at the time. I'll be trying my best from now on.

Jackson's Perspective
I went to bed last night with Percy comforting me. He tried to get my opinion on what the others said about my brother and the other guy.
He finally fell asleep with his delicate, cool hand in my hair. I put on my headphones so I could think all that night.

After school the next day, I was faced with my friends. They continued to talk about Obsidian without even trying to cover it up. Cindy began speculating with them, and that just made it all the worse.
My thoughts were a jumbled mess, like trying to destroy a complex spider web with a stick. I used Magic to completely block out sounds through my headphones. What could it all mean?
Percy had to go to a clinic today for some sort of field trip. I had no idea he was pursuing a side in healthcare. As that went through my mind, i just realized all the things I don't know about people. Did he speak with a demon? Did he join their side?
I kept processing all the information, trying to figure out as many possibilities as I could.

I was shaken awake by Lightning who seemed worried. The others were still talking and Brittany was writing stuff down.
"You guys still there?" I was obviously disheveled.
"Yeah, making a plan to interrogate him."
"Wait, WHAT!!!?" I was so confused.
I thought Caleb would add some reasoning to the conversation. "I know, right!? I told them it's too sudden. We need to watch him and figure out if it's true."
"No!! That's not what's needed." I had began putting pressure on my forehead. "Look, Obsidian is not working with the demons." Desperately, my hand went over to his shoulder. "You either saw something wrong or there's a big misunderstanding!"
Caleb walked to me with a rare face of sympathy before he spoke. "The first and second step of gaining knowledge of someone you trust: Denial and compromise."
I unconsciously squeezed his shoulder with my large hand.

After I had calmed down and recollected, I also wanted to know what is going on. "How about this? I think Caleb is right. We should make a plan, and watch him before we assume anything."
Nox didn't seem to like this idea. "And what if he's doing something dangerous!? Like plotting over non-demons!? What if he's getting power in exchange for it!? What if-"
     I bursted out, "That's a lot of 'What if's!!"
"That's what you have been using to advocate for him! We need to just come up on him and ask, leave others behind to listen in and call officials if he is planning something sinister."
"He's not planning anything sinister!" I was losing breath.
"But we don't know that." His fell into one of sympathy. "Look, I understand how you feel, but this something important. It's not reporting him until we get something that says it."
I couldn't take it. Me, balling my eyes out again. I usually can take stuff. Why is it that I can't now?
"This is also a sensitive matter dealing with someone I believe in and he can harm many people." It was hard for me to see and I was getting a headache. "There is 'innocent until proven guilty' for a reason, we should wait and gather our heads before rushing in."

Nox's Perspective
I was speechless, I haven't gotten all my memories, but I never recalled him crying, whether he got torn by a monster, or his girlfriend died.
"Yeah. Yeah, alright. I'll.. hold off on this." I make a painful chuckle. "It was stupid of me to think like this. I'm sorry."
Lightning took Jackson by the shoulder and left, but not before telling his girlfriend, "I'm going to take him back to his dorm. Cindy, I'll see you at yours later?"
I gave her a look at the corner of my eye, which she noticed. "I'll be at my dad's to check up on him. Sorry."

After everyone else left she turned to me. "What is it?"
"We are going to talk to the #1 Hunter in the world."
"Why? Jackson made good points. It is sensitive."
I gave a confident look while smirking. "First off, he is allowing his emotions to get the better of him. He's not letting us take action 'cause he's scared. Secondly, it's not like I'm saying he's guilty, just need to confront him."
She sat there in thought until, someone came to us. "Nox. I came here after I got your message-"
