Chapter 26: Lovey-dovey

Percy's Perspective
"Hey, Tyler!!"

     "H-hello there... P-Percy?" His clenched fists were balled tightly and his body was tense while speaking.
     "Hey, do you just want to use honorifics? You can if you wa-"
     "No!! I'm fine. It's not just about you or the others. I need to be able to talk normally to people." His pained face turned to pure passion. "I will get over this if it's the last thing I do!!"
Great. Now he's even more crazy. "So, what are you going to do during the break?" The tiny shops were getting smaller from behind us as we trudged forward.
"Well, I'm getting experience demon hunting with a Hunter, as well as working at a cafe."
"Yeah, most of us students are getting worked up on our Hunting Instructors. Do you know who yours will be yet?"
The look of concern overwhelmed his face until he degreased into a full-blown wail, "MINE WAS SWITCHED OUT!!!! WHAT IF THEY KNEW I WOULDN'T AMOUNT TO ANYTHING!!!??"
The bashing of his head was enough to leave a crater into the brick wall of a building. White fur plastered with dripping crimson. "Calm the heck down!!!!" I tried prying him off, but he was way stronger than me. "Don't worry, I'm sure it's nothing. Maybe they had a change in plans or something - it could be anything."
People stopped and stared. I felt so awkward. His cheeks were flushed with tears as he slowly lifted his head, voice shaky, "You really th-think so?"
"I'm-I'm sure." I can't say anything for sure... "Now please clean this all up, we're getting looks..."
Three symbols were drawn in the air, two flew into his head while the remaining zoomed to the dented wall and repaired it.

We were heading towards SunRain, and are currently in the woods leading to it until Tyler asked a question, "So, how's it going with you and Jackson..."
I just could see his smiling face now. "We're fine, but he still needs to get over what Cindy and Nox did. He also is still torn with what happened to his brother."
"Do you think Obsidian really did all those things?"
"I don't know, but they are keeping him until his trial-"
A shadow was growing in size right over me. We both darted back before whatever it was descended.

Where have I seen him...? He crashed down on one knee with a loud, 'thud!!'
His head lifted like a bullet as he stared at Tyler. "Oww oww OWW!!!" He began rolling like he was on fire, tears of pain trapped in his eyes. He quickly got up as if nothing happened, like this was some cartoon, and grabbed Tyler's hand. "Will you go on a date with me?" He asked as he pulled out half-crushed flowers.
     That's when a side of Tyler I'd never seen was unleashed. His hand moved so fast I wouldn't have even known he used it without it being in the same air that guy was in.
     "Come on!! Please!?"
     If I was single, I'd say yes - he has a certain flair.
     "I've told you 'NO'!!! Stop bothering me!!!"
     "Why not!?" The guy's whiny tone spilled out.
     Tyler looked back at me with hope. "Please help me." He tried making a cute face, but him looking anything but serious is hard.
     "Oh - well - I got things with Jackson planned. Good luck!!" I dashed away quickly with a bright smile. Hope he won't be mad at me! 😋

     Jackson's furry leg caressed me under the table. He placed his hand on top of mine in the middle. His thumb rubbing softly. I love moments like this with him. Quiet, nice - and we get food!"
I made sure to get me a burger. One that wasn't too large though. These things can be HUGE!
We talked about a vacation spot, and then him saying where he's like to stay forever, then somehow it turned to marriage!!!
I was so lost. I felt dizzy and hot and didn't know what to do. Just confusion and stuff, like so much confusion.
"Percy, would you like to have children?"
Ch-children!!!??? I knew I was a tomato, but this is some serious stuff and we've only been dating for less than a year. "Children!? Why are we talking about children!?"
He sighed before swallowing what was in his mouth. "Keep it down, this is personal."
Trying to keep my blood pressure down and seeing how a few others were looking. "Yeah, right, sorry."
"People who date talk about this stuff. Trying to see what would happen if we get married."
"Married? We're waaay too young. And-"
He silenced me with his giant finger. "First off, we're old enough to get married, and secondly, I didn't mean right now." He scratches the back of his head and continued cautiously, "Unless you don't want to get married."
I've never truly felt like this before. I truly love Jack. I want this to work out. I want to marry him. I knew he was right, I'm just being over dramatic. "Yeah, let's talk."
