The night sky was clear. You can be able to see all the stars that scattered across the sky. I was in my bedroom, playing with my stuffed animal and pretending the wooden sword I had was a real one. Having a real steel sword is cooler than the one I'd normally play with though. I once held one but found it was too heavy for me to hold.

I was only minding my own business when chaos was heard downstairs on the main floor. I didn't seem to care to be honest because I thought it was one of the guards that were acting up again from drinking a lot of weird smelling liquid. The door to my bedroom opened and three big scary men came rushing in. I dropped everything from my two hands and screamed. I screamed for my parents. I screamed for anyone I knew to come and save me but no one came. I cried as my small hand was held onto a strong grip and soon was picking me up from the ground. "Quiet down kid." I heard one them say but I continued to sob which annoyed all of them and covered my mouth with their hand. "Looks like the crown he's wearing is worth more than anything. We need it. Let's take it and go."

"No, we would be fools to take something as valuable as a crown."

"We can always take the kid like we intended too."

"Fine, they won't be able to find him as soon as we take off from here. It's good that he's young, he won't remember any of this." They took off my crown from my head and stuffed it into their bag filled with other kinds of stuff. "Kidnapping a prince from the royal is something beyond anything we've ever done in history."

"Keep it a secret. No one but us should know who he really is." They all kept quiet after that and hurried to race outside the castle walls but was stopped abruptly. Knights were surrounding the exit from the outside. "Halt!" One of them say. "Put down the prince and surrender yourself." The one that was holding me chuckled and said, "Sure." He put me down on the floor as the knights tried to usher me over to them but I didn't move. I was too frightened to move. I saw something, or someone, behind all the knights and the object that they were holding in a hand was glowing green. My eyes widened as I realized what they were. A wizard. Their going to kill everyone here!

I saw them whisper something into the object that appeared to be a book and soon the whole ground started shaking and fire was surrounding the knights and then were covered by it. I heard screams of pain and everything exploded and became too bright. I covered my eyes, blocking the bright light and backed away. I bumped into someone and looked up. It was one of the men. They smiled down at me. I tried getting away but I turned around to see the horrific sight of bodies being littered everywhere, burned alive. Some didn't have their flesh skin and looking at the scene, scared me.

They got in front of me and kneeled down to my level. "Don't worry," he put a hand on my shoulder. "We're not here to hurt you, rather rescue you."

"Rescue me?" That's not what happened. They are trying to kidnap me, not the other way around.

"Yes, I promise you that we'll take care of you and get away from here as far as possible so that no one can hurt you."

"What about mummy and daddy? They'd never hurt me..."

The man sighed and waved a hand over to the wizard to come closer. "Erase his memory. Looks like I'm wrong. Guess he's old enough to remember what happened here." I looked up at the wizard, being terrified. "We should head off before more of them come." All the scary looking men nodded and got a hold of random horses. The wizard grabbed my arm and took me with him. I struggled against his grip but nothing worked. He was stronger than I was. I was about to cry out a scream but I felt a burning sensation on my left cheek. "Be a good prince and come with me quietly if you wish not to suffer." After that , I stayed silent through the whole ride.
