My eyes opened up to see light shining through the windows. I cover up my eyes by holding out a hand to the bright light that came from the sun. The birds were chirping outside and I knew today was going to be a good day. I don't normally wake up in a good mood. Waking up early is just something I have to make a habit of.
I squint my eyes and sit up looking to see that Luke and Calum were already up, talking quietly to each other. I didn't see Michael, which was weird. He doesn't wake up early in the morning.
Luke noticed that I was up and asked sincerely, "Did you sleep well?"
I nod. Luke was sitting on the bed Calum was in on my right.
"How about your ankle, is your ankle okay?" My ankle was perfectly fine. When I put balance onto it, nothing happened. Whoever helped me must've done a good job. The medic... The medics wife- I knew her, at least a small memory of her. I don't remember much. Just her leaving the gates of Endor while my parents visited the king and queen.
I could tell Calum is still bugged out about her not knowing who he was and claiming herself that he is not the prince everyone thought he was.
She knew the real prince.
She knows his name.
The diary from the Queen of Endor is the key to everything but so is that woman. It's too late now. We had left and she showed us that she'd give out no new information.
"Yes, don't worry about it. Have you seen Michael?" I asked looking around the room to spot Michael but found none. Luke shook his head then stared at Calum asking, "Do you?" He also shook his head 'No'.
Where could have he gone?
Did he leave on without us?
Had something come up that had to make him leave without waking us up?
I thought Calum would have known where he went off to, seeing as they're close but so am I. He wouldn't have just got up and left without a word. There must've been some kind of good reason behind it.
"He'll come back and meet up with us at Calum's castle," I say.
"We're going back to mine?" Calum said surprised as he looked at me.
"Yes."
Luke and Calum looked at each other then agreed with my plan I had in mind.
I hope Michael will be back soon otherwise this whole plan I came up with will be ruined for good. Everything seems to be coming together but I can't tell. For all I know, this whole investigation could be easy, It could be right in front of me, or it could be challenging.
I got up from sitting on the bed and stood up, walking over to the door. "Now that we're all up, we should go."
They both headed out the door as I opened the door for them. I looked back inside the room trying to see if we left anything behind. There was nothing that belonged to us so I started to close the door when I heard a voice crying out to me, saying my name, "Ashton!" I was startled by the voice and looked around for where it had come from. There was no one around except for the three of us but it had sounded like neither of them, at least, not the cry. If the voice didn't seem so desperate then I could've been able to identify the voice.
We were in the hallway up on the second floor where there are other rooms that are occupied. Luke looked at me in worry, "Are you okay? We were talking to you."
They didn't hear the voice?
Was it just me?
First the nightmares, now voices? What next?
