The cold breeze of the air didn't make me shiver, all It did was make me numb. Being Calum's guard is like me and him being friends. We talk, we laugh, we do anything a friend would normally do but it's different when I was Ashton's guard.

Like Calum and I, Ashton and I were also best friends except nothing tore us apart until the agrument we both had a few years ago, yet there was another incident that had happened between us two. We both never talked about that day. I think about it from time to time and I know for a fact that Ashton would rather be king than think about it. It's a thought that makes my heart hurt even for a second.

I made it back to Endor, Calum's kingdom where he's prince alongside his mum whose queen and a dad who's king. When I entered through the double doors, I saw Calum angrily stormed out, walking passed me and also bumped into me and the tears that were running down his cheeks caught my attention. Calum's mood has been affected and was shown to never be a good sign seeing as he's always in a positive mood but who could have made him upset? From whom? I looked away from Calum as the doors slammed shut and looked in front of me to his parents shaking their head; ashamed.

"Can't we tell that boy? About–" The king started to speak but was interrupted by the Queen as she waved her hands around near his mouth.

"No! Absolutely not. If anyone finds out we've been lying..."

"Lying about what?" I asked walking closer to the king and queen. They both turned at around at the same time to meet me and looked shocked to see me but tried to play it off as if they didn't know anything.

"Nothing. Why're you here? Aren't you supposed to be watching Calum like a proper guard?" The king said rudely. The queen jabbed him in the side and smiled sweetly at me.

"Don't mind my husband. He's just had a rough day today and put it off on our dear Calum. That's why you probably seen him storm out in such a hurry. Why don't you go ahead and check up on him for us? To see how he's doing."

"Sure." I say, eyed them speciously and walked out. I was yet again met with the cold chilly breeze. I heard quiet sobbing and looked around to see where it came from but I couldn't find the voice. Everything is pitch black and I can't see a thing. I guess I just have to depend on my ears. I heard it come from my right side so I followed. The sobbing started to get a little louder as I got closer and this time and I finally saw who it had came from. Calum. Just who I was looking for.

His back was pressed up against the building behind him and had his knees brought up to his chest. Not a sight you should be seeing from a prince who is acting nothing like one but in those times of despair, you don't act like yourself at times and sometimes those times are not pretty.

I sigh to myself seeing the sight of Calum and walked over to him and slowly sat down next to him. I bit my lip as he didn't once look up to see who sat next to him. There was total silence, just Calum crying quietly. I look at the dark sky ahead of me and placed my hand on his knee to grab his attention. It still didn't make him look up so I calmly shook his knee and called out his name.

"Calum, would you look at me?" He didn't look at me but he raised his head a bit and stopped crying, only sniffling.

"What happened? Are you alright?" I took my hand off his knee and dropped it down to my side.

"I overheard my parents talking when I got back. Rambling on about how I'm not their son, how I don't belong here. My dad saw me, he gave me a couple swears before mum came over to calm him down. It didn't matter though. They both clearly don't love me as I thought they did." He rested his head sideways on his knee and looked anywhere but my eyes.

I looked at him and felt bad for him. I wrapped my one arm around him and squeezed to show him I'm giving him comfort. I also thought his parents loved him. They always showed that but for them to talk behind his back? What is this? This isn't family. I don't mean to think about this at the moment where Calum needs all comfort he can get but Calum looks nothing like his parents. Are they really blood related?
