The wind is hollowing. The sun is down. The alleyways are dark. They always are dark.

I'm behind boxes and boxes and barrels and there was an entry hole between the box and the barrel so that you can see through with one of your eyes. There was someone being backed up on the wall. The looks they mostly gave off was the face of someone who is scared. Their face is familiar but I can't put my finger on it.

Older looking men who are thugs came closer to the victim until he was backed up in a corner where they couldn't run. One of them punched the victim in the face and tumbled backwards onto the cold concrete road. The thugs started kicking him and the victim covered in on themselves, shielding what they can to protect.

I wanted to do something but I couldn't move. I found every part of my muscles not moving when I want to. I heard whispering in desperation to my right. All the talking was an echo to me. My heart was thumping and I didn't know what to do. Suddenly my shoulders were grabbed by the person next to me and then I woke up, gasping for air. I was sitting up and put a hand over my chest to somehow stop the continuous thumping that I could feel.

"Ashton!" I heard. I calmed myself down a bit and saw Luke's hands on my shoulders. "Luke?" I say still a bit dazy.
He sat on the edge of the bed while he looked at me. "You fell unconscious, remember?"

Oh right. He came into my room unexpectedly.

At least he was there.

"What happened? Are you alright?" He had a worried expression read on his face while he looked at me.

"I'm fine." I say.

"Fine? You falling unconscious for no reason is not fine."

I shrugged and Luke sighed. He dropped his arms from my shoulders and looked away. "I know we haven't been on good terms lately. I know that you may hate me," I scoffed. "but I promise you I'm the exact same person, I never changed into some douche bag, count me on that. Telling you I am from a thieves guild was a bad idea, I know. I only told you 'cause I trust you...So please trust me...?

"I do trust you."

"Then why do you keep pushing me away so much?" Luke turned his attention back at me but I looked away.

"I–I'm afraid. I'm afraid to loose you. What if I wake up one day and you're gone?? I can't bear the thought if it."

"I won't leave Ashton. You won't loose me either. There's nothing to be afraid of." Luke pulled me into a hug and I found myself wrapping my arms around his neck. I never imagined breaking down in front of someone who I had complicated feelings for. I cried and I sobbed. It took awhile but I managed to calm down and rested my head on his shoulder. I let out a breath of exhaustion. "I have lucid dreams and I don't know why..."

"Dreams? Since when?" Luke looked down on me while I looked at his arm and trailed my fingers against his skin.

"Ever since our arguments. I don't know why. I've had two of them and I don't know why; what they mean still."

"Have you told anyone about this?" I shake my head. "Why haven't you told someone?"

"I can't worry everyone about this. I'm going to be a king, remember? I don't want news traveling around the region knowing I'm unstable and not worthy of being king because of these dreams I constantly have when I sleep at night." I pulled away from him, sitting back a few inches away and crossed my arms around me.

"You could've at least told me."

"We weren't exactly friends."

"Does it matter? It'll always be open to you no matter the situation."

"Thats nice of you. But I still don't understand why. I treated you like a piece of shit but yet you give me a second chance."

"Yeah, true. The reason is because I would never wish the worst things on people who did it to me once,"

"So what are these dreams about?" Luke inched closer to me. I sighed and dropped my arms, sitting forwards on the bed.

"Half the time, everything is a big blur. The first one is in a room and there's two people. Something must've happened between them because one of them stabbed the other with a knife. It escalated pretty quickly. It frightens me every time I think about it," I shiver at the thought. "The second dream is in an alleyway, I think, and there's thugs surrounding the victim and they kept hurting that person. It felt like I was in shock, I couldn't move or do anything. Geez... why did this have to happen to me of all people?"

Luke frowned just thinking about what I have to go through and then took my hand in his as he gave me a reasoning smile. "It's alright. These probably don't mean anything, their just dreams. Dreams can't hurt."

I nodded. "Yeah, you're right. Just dreams... Hey Luke, I'm so sorry, after everything. It just seemed like things go by fast as soon as you told me who you really were and where you come from. I was wrong. You really are the same person as before, I underestimated you." Luke squeezed my hand at this.

"I told you it's alright. I should be sorry. I rushed you into being someone you weren't ready to be and I added onto that and told you who I really was." I sat at the edge and sat besides Luke. I sighed and gripped my hand on the edge of the mattress. "Luke." He turned to look at me and I slowly look back at him. "I–I think... you should go. You're Calum's guard not mine." He blinked and looked away as he nodded. He got up from the bed and opened the door. "Be careful next time."

And he was gone. I sucked in a breathe, running a hand through my hair. I started to get a feeling inside me and my thoughts are all over the place, I can't think straight. My heart is pounding, my face feels jelly, and I can't stop thinking about Luke. Why can't I stop thinking about Luke?

I think I need a drink. I got up and wobbly walked to my dresser where my collection of wine is at. My hands shakily took a bottle, took off the cap, and poured into a glass cup. I filled it halfway and drank the whole thing in one gulp.

To be continued...

A/N: I really didn't change much or added anything but next chapter I'm feeling inspired. Playing FF7 Remake was awesome! And I'm feeling inspired from it.
