A/N:
(-) means what happens afterwards
(.) means a flashbackI must admit, I was rather upset with Ashton but I remembered our midnight conversation. Though he has a lot on his shoulders at the moment, I feel as though I'm adding on top of it. I have gone off to find Calum, failing at the end of the day. Three months came around and I happened to find him around the inn where Michael, Calum, Ashton, and I stayed for the night after a quest Calum suggested to me.
His back was against the wall as he lay on the floor, looking tired and all the more, hungry. His eyes kept halfway closing. I wore a robe and a hood to hide away my face so that no sudden attention was drawn to me. I walk over to Calum -- That was Calum. I thought I was never gonna find him. "Calum," I say to him. "It's me, Luke." I lowered my hood and spoke in a whispered voice as I kneeled down to his level of view.
"Luke?" He blinked. Once and twice. "What on earth are you doing here?"
"I came to look for you, about this." I uncurled my palm to reveal the purple gem. He looked at it and his breath quickened.
"I told you, I don't want it back." Pushing away at my hand.
I shook my head. I wasn't planning on giving it back to him even though I stole from him. "I want to know the truth, Calum. It's magic, isn't it?"
"Yes, it contains magic. Knowing the truth..." His voice trailed on. "Not something you should mess with."
"You know. You know the truth so why shouldn't I?" He did say he would tell me of its secrets and I've been dying to know so why is suddenly changing his mind?
"Luke!" He gave me an eerie eye contact and got me unsettled. "If I showed you, your whole life will change and there's nothing anyone can do about it! Okay? Look, for a while now, I've known about my past life and it was terrible -- Wish I never knew, Do you have any idea how every day I blame myself!"
"...Why?" My voice hesitated.
"I was Sauron of peace and destruction. Ruler all across Ru'uan and killed millions of people. That's why."
.
My hands let go of the pillar as I look at the voice who spoke out to my name but of course it startled me. I hadn't even known someone snuck up behind me. As my head turned to see who it was, I recognized the face. His brown curls and his brown-hazel eyes sparked up when they laid onto me. He wore a dark musky green colored long-sleeved cotton shirt and wears dark-colored trousers, with brown high boots and has a belt wrapped around at his waist.
"What are you doing here?" He spoke out again after he called out my name.
"Agar, we meet again! I mean- we see each other every day. I uh..." My hands started to sweat as I continued to rant out with nonsense. Luckily Agar finished off my sentence because I will not be able to stop.
"Overheard our conversation?" He said plainly.
"Yes. I mean no!" I sigh in defeat. "Yes... I had to see you again."
He smiled at the mention of me wanting to see him again. It was true, I longed for his eyes even though they looked anywhere but me. I longed for the way he smiles because he rarely ever does. I longed for the sound of his laugh, I swear it's an echo I could hear in every empty hallway and spare rooms.
"You know the risks of that. If Sauron found out you were here right now-"
"Yes, yes. Sauron. You speak as though he is your guardian. He can't rule over everything. Not us, definitely not us."
King Sauron is as you know, ruler of the region -- Ru'uan. He is considered to be the high king between Mikhail and Agar. The risk for me and Agar to take of now is incredibly dangerous. Either one of us would be brutally murdered, most likely in the public just to make a fool out of yourself. It's quite strange seeing as Sauron has some sort of relationship with Mikhail but never, ever announces it out to the public. I don't think anyone knows except for me. Every once in awhile, I hear a cry for help(?) from behind a locked door and I notice it is indeed Mikhail's. I practically live here as a home. I visit more than once a day, more like every day.
"You're brave Lucas. Maybe tell that to King Sauron's face?" He said in a question that makes me laugh.
"Not that brave. No one has the guts to do that, not even you."
"Oh? Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure I did that a few minutes ago in case you didn't eavesdrop on our conversation."
"Yeah, Yeah. Let's get out of the throne room before he sees us together." I took his hand in my hand and we ran off to a spare bedroom that no one uses. That's usually where we both hide in secret. Agar went to sit on the bed as he waited for me to close and lock the door behind me. As soon as I did that, I look back at him and had us both smile. It might've been since yesterday when we last have seen each other but it felt like a month.
Before anything happened or started, Agar reminded me at least a thousand times that I should not, and never, give him a hickey. I told him I couldn't give him any promises and I cut him off right when he was about to say something with the brush of my lips on his. I already knew what his response was, there is no way that I would wait and listen to him. I pushed at his shoulders and caused him to fall back on the bed. I lay next to him and hugged him closer to me. I pushed the fabric on his neck and easily slid it down so that his neck is exposed to one's eyes.
I did tell him I gave no promises on giving him a hickey so I distracted him by kissing him on the cheek. His eyelids fluttered closed and allowed me to gain permission to do what I had wanted. I moved away an inch and lightly brought my finger to brush his smooth skin near his chin then brought back the kisses on the neck right above his collarbone. To test he wasn't aware of what I was doing, I slowly sucked on his skin. When he made no movement, I began to bite at the tender flesh and wondered how he had not pushed me off by now, or maybe he wanted me to give him one.
To be continued...
