The light shines through the curtains and the world outside had nature talking out in the wild with the sun up and the clouds drifting around. I was left alone for a long spare time so I decided to make it worth something with Luke.
I had myself laying on top of the bed covers when I invited Luke to lay with me. Everything felt like a dazed dream. The way I looked at him and looked at his eyes. I always did look at his eyes but this time I knew it was different. The structure of his face had me drowning in the gaze. The ocean I had gone to many times, before my sister had fallen in her grave, beside the castle, it was always there when I felt alone.
I could have it no other way, he is the perfect companion to my soul that is attached. I brought my fingers up to his hair and started to stroke it and my hands lingered on their cheek. He lay on my chest and I saw myself with a small smiling and silent laugh because he completes my other half in a way no would be able to do. Seeing his smile, makes me smile because, underneath the thousands of shadows, there's always light hiding away.
"If someone finds us like this..." Luke didn't end up finishing his sentence so I finished it for him. "What? Tell us to keep away from each other. Call it forbidden. Yeah, I know."
"That's the way I'd put it...You wouldn't mind?"
I shake my head. "As long as you're with me." He sighed and started slipping away from my arms. I frown at this and sit up. "What's wrong?" He didn't turn to face me when I asked. "Will...will you keep your word on that?"
Will I keep my word on that?? Of course, I would! From all the times I showed him my affection towards him, why would he start to doubt me? Is he doubting me?
"Luke... Why wouldn't I?" He turned around and looked at me. "I have to tell you something. Something I haven't told anyone." Where is he going with this? I thought he had told me every little thing about himself.
He got up from the bed and waited for me to respond back. I didn't respond back, I gave him a gesture by reaching for his forearm and pulling him back towards me. He stumbled as I twirled him around and kissed him. The kiss I've been longing for ever since he got here. He tried pulling away but I kept him in place, considering he's the one stronger out of us two, I still managed to hold firm. He toppled over me and I fell back against the mattress. Our lips connected with every move as he gave in, forgetting what he had said, I even forgot what he tried to say to me.
We parted and Luke asked me while he looked down at my lips and I bit on my lip looking at his collarbone. "Unwind?" I let out a small laugh. "Do it."
Then, the next day, I told him to leave me alone. I told him to get out. As much as it crushed my heart, I never let out a single teardrop.
I trusted a traitor whose own people had plugged in a knife of my own family member. I took back everything about what I said about him. Because of him, the only thoughts that roamed around were my anger. Every sweet thing he said to me was a lie. Everything was a lie. It always has been from the start. I should've seen it coming. I should've never taken it off yet I did. There's no way of stopping what had already happened.
He walked away and I picked up a small pebble on the ground and threw it at the fountain with rage. It hit the structure and fell into the water making a splashing noise in the process. I looked behind me to see a tall bush, filled with twigs. I grabbed one out, ripping it from the connected branch, and flung it away as far as I can. All the adrenaline rushed out of me, causing me to breathe out and fall to my knees. I gripped at the grass, pulling some out. My hair fell down to my eyes and I didn't bother to push it away.
After doing all that and letting out the boiling heat of madness that I felt, I swore I thought it had started raining.
To be continued...
