I walked inside the castle that Calum and Michael have entered and headed straight for the library. I know Calum had a bookshelf inserted in his bedroom so that he wouldn't have to go all the way across the castle to go to the library inside his own home and he mostly spends his days there so why not. I read books from time to time but not as much as Calum.
I really hope Michael is doing his part of the plan. He knows this means everything to me and could mean history would change. Forever. Of course I lied to Luke about doubting the prince is alive. I know he's alive, I've told Michael. I'm getting closer to this investigation and things are starting to piece itself together.
The first diary I encountered was not enough evidence and I knew the second diary was the correct amount of information but then we stumbled upon a woman who is married to the medic who was able to help me and the guys soon learned that she had been a maid here in Endor. She knows no one of the name prince Calum which is strange to us all. I wish she had time to tell us the real name. That could've saved us some time and I didn't have to waste more of the world's precious time. I hated to do this to Calum but it was the only way to change history and to revive a name that went silent for years that ended up never getting brung up again since then.
The queen and the king never tell their child's name to the citizens and to other royalties until they are of the right age to announce the official name. It was a tradition in the royal family. No one really knows why.
There was no one around and I found the halls empty and silent. That's strange, where is everyone? I thought to myself. I walked in through the big double doors that lead right into the library There was a long table with gold edge carving in the middle of the room and bookshelves all around. The whole entire room in the middle was an open space but on the sides, there was a second floor also lined up with bookshelves.
I heard talking to my right where there was a desktop filled with parchment paper, quills, a globe, and other stuff. On each side, there was two cuomhouse velvet arm sofa on either side with a fancy large red rug underneath. Michael was standing behind the sofa where Calum was seated. I walked closer and looked puzzled at the two. "Michael?"
Michael looked up at me surprised but still ended up smiling at me as if he knew I was coming anyway. Calum didn't bother to look. He stayed sitting as he looked focused at his two ankle boots on the ground. Whatever Michael said to him seemed to get him in deep thought. I'm assuming that he had told Calum what we wanted and I do hope to get what we came for.
"Ashton! Good to see you came 'cause I got great news. Calum here," Michael patted Calum on the shoulder which still didn't budge him take look upwards. "Agreed on getting his mother's diary for us."
I looked at Calum, not believing what Michael had told me and then I looked back at Michael. "It was that easy?"
"It was that easy," Michael responded back to what I said exactly except with no excitement in his tone. I really had thought Calum would disagree and argue at us, that this isn't right but it looked like to me that he gave it all in and let us collect the last piece of knowledge for this investigation. I would've said sorry for doing this to Calum and how this could possibly be getting him thrown out to the streets to rot or it might end up not leaving what he calls 'home' and he would still remain as a prince just as Luke hopes and Michael and everyone would be satisfied and happy. I'm just surprised Michael encouraged me about this plan.
At first, he wasn't so sure that helping me would make a difference in life all across Ru'uan and wanted nothing to do with this whole thing since he and Calum are close and wants him to be the king of Endor, I'm surprised he changed his mind in a matter of minutes.
